LGF in Danish

LGF reader Dan forwarded a scan of today’s edition of the Danish newspaper Urban, featuring a mention of “Sma Gronne Fodbolde” in connection with the Buy Danish campaign:

Dan comments on the article:

Today you have been mentioned in the big Danish Newspapers, congrats! :) However, I want to point out an article from the freely distributed Danish newspaper Urban. There was a part that offended me. This is a free translation of the red marked area in the image: “…after readers of another weblog, Little Green Footballs (little green footballs), had stirred up each-other to buy danish products”. Now, this I don’t know if I’m using “stir up” as correctly translation but the danish word assimilate to something very aggressive. It almost sounds like when leftist Danes describe Israel. I’m sure the journalist didn’t like LGF.

Dan also notes that if we’re planning to buy Danish products, we may want to avoid products from those companies that are losing business in Arab countries—because they almost certainly agreed not to deal with Israel as a condition to sell in those countries. They made a devil’s bargain, and now it’s payment time.
