Remember a time(most likely long before I was born of course) when even southern politicians were well spoken?

I mean there views could be completely morally bankrupt, but still they could fashion a complete, coherent sentence with maybe even a clever turn of phrase thrown in for good measure.

Pardon my petty grammar trolling, but I am officially calling into question the ability of Kay Steiger, the author of the original article, to compose an adroit sentence.

Alday continued, saying that when he was mayor of Walls, MS, that the times he’d gone to the emergency room had taken a long time.
