1 Democratic governor calls a special legislative session to repeal the territorial law. Both houses have a 2-seat Republican majority. If the Republicans are so worried about it, repeal the law immediately.

2 they’ll want to pass a “compromise” replacement that severely restricts abortion

1 That’s fine, it makes them go on record for supporting an abortion ban of some sort either way. Either they support a total ban by refusing to repeal the old law or they support a partial ban by passing a new law that does so.
