The government-controlled English mouthpiece of the Saudi oil ticks, Arab News, has unleashed quite a barrage of anti-American incitement in their latest edition, starting with this screed by rabid America-hating Saudi princess Reem Mohammed Al-Faisal: American Contempt.

It seems that the American experiment in Iraq has failed; that at least is how one American reporter described the massacre of civilians that is under way in Fallujah and many other parts of Iraq. Another reporter thinks it is the result of a PR failure by the coalition forces.

The killing of thousands, the destruction of a nation is just an experiment. The unlawful attack on a sovereign country and the resulting criminal actions and the takeover of Iraq by the Americans is just an experiment!

This is how the US government views the Iraqis; we should assume the rest of the Arab people are laboratory rats that they can experiment on even if this results in the death and destruction of innocent lives. How else to explain the numerous vetoes of the US in the UN concerning the crimes committed by Israel, culminating in the murder of Sheikh Ahmad Yassin or the utter contempt for human life in Iraq?

Al-Faisal concludes with a thinly-veiled call for war against the US:

These experiments will continue as long as the Arabs refuse to stand up and say no to America. The deafening silence with which the Arabs respond to the massacres unfolding daily in Iraq is testimony to that. One could be forgiven for thinking that maybe the Americans are right to think we are rodents.

There will come a day, and soon, when we will say, no more abuse; when we will demand that the Americans leave Iraq. And the latest declaration of Bush wiping away with one callous swoop all the hopes of the Palestinians and giving Sharon a free hand to maim and destroy helps only to confirm it in Arab eyes that America feels only contempt and disdain for us. The contempt of the Americans for the Arabs is what encouraged them to invade Iraq and it will be that same contempt which will force them out of it.

This is not bravado. This is simply the result of experience and study of history. We Arabs have faced many invading hordes and have survived them all. This is the triumph of experience over ignorance, 7,000 years of it.

But her diatribe is just a warm-up for the following whacked-out masterpiece of derangement, by “Doctor” Khaled M. Batarfi: American Propaganda Revisited!

Why is the burning of four mercenaries from Blackwater, a US-owned, Israeli-run security firm, such a terrible crime, while scorching tens of thousands with B52 firestorms is just a war? Why is bombing Palestinians and Afghan villages, mosques and schools restoring civil order, but bombing a bus or a cafe is barbaric? Why, when asked about the human cost of Vietnam, Americans tend to count only the 50,000 American casualties and forget the millions of murdered Vietnamese?

It’s impossible to avoid noticing that the nutball anti-war rhetoric of “Doctor” Batarfi is similar to the nutball rhetoric of the ANSWER/MoveOn/Indymedia crowd, sort of like Howard Zinn run through an Arab Logic Remover™.

Dr. Giggles also concludes with a threat, stated more openly than Princess Reem’s:

Finally, for those who cry foul for war brutality and claim civility, please check your photo albums — historical photos like that of Hiroshima, Korea and Vietnam, and contemporary as the picture of bombed-to-death, burned-to-bones elderly and crippled Sheikh Yassin, by US weapons with American approval and support.

It was an American hero, Gen. William Sherman, who, in justifying the burning of the South and the killing of millions of innocent civilians and Indians, explained: War is Hell. “Nuclear” Truman said: Amen. “Shock and Awe” Bush agreed. It is about time the inventors test what their invention is like.

I only hope that our good, decent and innocent American friends won’t be caught in the crossfire.

I think we’re supposed to wonder what he means by “the invention.”
