RoP Moonbat Canadian Visit Update
Yesterday we linked to a report by Steven Stalinsky of MEMRI that the imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca (a hate spewing, holy war preaching moonbat) was scheduled to visit Canada for a series of lectures and an appearance at the ISNA convention in Toronto. LGF reader “justdanny” emailed the ISNA and received an interesting reply:
I emailed the Islamic Society of North America Canada this:
I am upset to find information I recieved that “Sheikh Abd Al-Rahman Al-Sudais” will be appearing at the convention, is not true. This is a shame.
I am in central Kentucky in the US and made plans to attend the convention, it would have been my first ISNA affair.
Hopefully in the future I can attend an ISNA convention in the states. Was the report of his attendance and lecture erronious ?
Thank you
I just received this email in response:
Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais will not be speaking at any of the events organized by the Islamic Society of North America. We did not invite him as a speaker, and it is my understanding that he is not scheduled to be in Canada at this time.
It appears that someone while on a visit to Saudi Arabia extended an invitation to him assuming that the ISNA Canada Annual Convention Program Committee will follow suit with an invitation to him. However, we had not planned to invite him and we did not extend an invitation to him.
