Three Non-Entities Appear in Canadian Court

As jihadis threaten openly to bomb Canada, the Canadian government is playing coy with the identities of the 5 people arrested in the firebombing of a Jewish school. (Psst. The note left at the scene doesn’t read like the typical ones left by Buddhists when they commit firebombings.)

Montreal — Three of five people charged in last month’s firebombing of a Jewish elementary school made a video court appearance Saturday.

Two 18-year-old men and a woman in her 30s entered pleas of not guilty and will be back in court Monday for a bail hearing.

They continue to be held in custody.

The men are charged with arson and conspiracy. The woman is charged with being an accessory after the fact. Two other men also face charges in the case.

A note left at the United Talmud Torah elementary school after the April 5 firebombing said the attack was in retaliation for Israel’s killing of Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin.

Police gave no details of the ethnic backgrounds of the accused after their arrests on Friday.

Spokesman Ian Lafrenière said police did not want to reveal all elements of its case so as not to jeopardize the ongoing investigation into other possible suspects.
