The media are pushing the “no connection between Iraq and Al Qaeda” meme so hard and the bias is so bleeding obvious that it might be laughable—if the failure of intellect involved weren’t so dangerous.

Check out some of the AP, al-Reuters, and AFP headlines at Yahoo News: Search results for 9/11 commission. Many of them bluntly state that the Commission found “no link.”

And the Commission itself, hijacked by some of the most obnoxious political posturing I’ve ever witnessed on the Hill, has given the media plenty of ammunition for this silliness.

Evidently, unless someone finds a notarized contract signed by Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, agreeing to undertake terrorist enterprises for a well-defined purpose, there cannot possibly have been a connection.

It’s inconceivable.
