In a discussion purporting to be about Civility in the blogosphere, Daniel Drezner leads off with a finger-wagging quote from none other than Matthew Yglesias.

Yglesias, of course, is the lefty blogger who thought it was just hilarious to link to a “quiz” that portrayed me as a “fascist,” accompanied by a photoshopped image of my head on the body of Eva Braun. And when I expressed disapproval, he allowed the comments on his blog to degenerate into an unbelievably vicious series of personal attacks, with comments from people using names such as “Bike Riding Racist F*ck.”

Mr. Civility. Let’s all be like him.

Drezner also quotes several other lefty bloggers who are among the main offenders when it comes to name-calling and personal attacks, all tut-tutting furiously at the decline of civility. It’s a veritable festival of hypocrisy over there, and of course, LGF gets called a “cesspool,” just to bring home how civil these people are.
