Zell Miller’s “snarling” speech really frightened Matt Welch. Judging by Ken Layne’s comment, it evoked an even more basic emotion in him.

As I look around the various lefty blogs, it’s clear that this is going to be the direction of the spin: Zell’s speech was too hot. Too militaristic. Very frightening.
