The Curious Case of Connie Cominsky
Yesterday we discussed the curious case of Connie Cominsky, a suburban businesswoman from Chicago who has been quoted many times by French news wire Agence France Presse, most recently in a piece identifying her as “the archetype disillusioned Republican.” Earlier this year, AFP had a story about Connie Cominsky “taking part” in a protest march.
Agence France Presse is guilty of blatantly misleading their readers. Cominsky wasn’t just “taking part.” She was one of the organizers of the march.
Connie Cominsky helps run an anti-war group called Band Of Sisters; scroll down the page a little and you’ll see her picture and bio. (Hat tip: Mike.)
Calling her an “archetype Republican” or quoting her as an unbiased source is nothing more than a lie. But it’s another very good example of the hidden agenda of mainstream media.
