Another Virulent Outbreak of Bush Derangement Syndrome

Wed, Oct 20, 2004 at 4:51:59 pm PDT

A banner headline for a Rick Perlstein article in The Village Voice hits a depraved new low even for them, strikingly similar to the blood libel propaganda directed at Israel by Arab countries. (Hat tip: william.)

I would have to say that civility has finally, once and for all, left the political left.

Except of course that happened a year ago thanks to Dean. Now it's just a contest to see who can be more depraved.

Electoral-Vote has lost my confidence and here's why:

1) In the beginning, projection maps were solidly Bush
2) then he took them off his site, claiming they had too much noise, but yet they were consistent and the projections were based on a 90 day moving average and by doing so, did wonders to negate the noise he was complaining about.
3) then he changed the projections to based on 30 day moving averages, which immediately tipped them to Kerry
4) then he changed them AGAIN to the current scheme which is substantially based on gross assumptions (voters have already decided, undecideds will break 2:1 for Kerry, Nader and All_Others will get 1% each, etc.)

Anything reasonable went out the window.

28 It's Miss Donna V. to you  Wed, Oct 20, 2004 3:06:22pm

I have never seen an election in my lifetime the other side deserved to lose more than this one.

BTW: I was up at 4 this morning and slept very badly last night, so I dozed off on the sofa about an hour and a half ago. I dreamt that Bush lost and the dream was so vivid that when I woke I thought for a few seconds that it was the morning of the 3rd and Kerry was president. I was relieved to realize that that was not the case.

I don't believe in the ""dreams are omens" crap, because I'm prone to dreaming about horrifying things that never occur (like being chased by someone with a gun, which is a recurring motif). So I don't see any special portent here.

However, if I start dreaming I'm being chased by Kerry with a gun, I may start to lose it. The only reassuring thing about such a dream would be that he would probably be crawling on his belly, the same way he hunts deer, so I'd have a pretty good chance of escape!

Lovely. Yet another addition to the gallery of unhinged, fear-mongering propaganda.

Not entirely OT
Found this via a link at The Voloka Conspiracy. Here's one part that struck me as interesting:

Extreme conservatives were much less likely to report being mad at someone every day in the last week--7.3% to 24.2% for extreme liberals. Extreme conservatives were also less likely to report being fearful in the last week--32.5% to 56.3% for extreme liberals. In other words, a staggering one-quarter of extreme liberals report being mad at someone EVERY DAY and most extreme liberals report being fearful at least once a week.

#1 fat.elvis:

Assumption #2 is the sticking point. If you really believe that undecided voters will split 2 to 1 for Kerry then yeah, that might be right. I wouldn't make that assumption in this election cycle, though. I think that Bush will carry Florida comfortably, thanks in part to the reverse coattails of Mel Martinez, who is in a close race for the Senate vs. Betty Castor and will get the conservative Latino vote out for Bush. Based on that map, if Bush takes Florida and either Ohio OR Pennsylvania OR New Jersey OR Michigan OR Wisconsin combined with either Iowa, New Mexico or Oregon, Bush wins.

Relax. 13 days is a long time and there will be bombshells dropping before its all over. Remember the drunk driving bombshell onthe eve of the 2000 election? It wouldn't have been close but for that. I'm sure that there will be surprises this time around as well.

34 Beagle  Wed, Oct 20, 2004 3:07:44pm

I have already made peace with a legally elected President Kerry. If it happens, it happens. But the Democrats are giving me no reason to think they honor law, stability, and electoral democracy as much as I do.

If the powers that be think somehow the United States is inherently above the instability which has marked human history, they are wrong. If they bring us that instability, after their AFL-CIO goons have been dispatched, they will rue the day they gave up on the founding principles of this nation.

Whoever the illustrator is, he has made Bush's eyes too compassionate for the business of biting into the flesh of Lady Liberty. Look at the eyes and even the mouth (not the teeth part). The artist probably used a photograph of Bush and Bush has very compassionate eyes and mouth. Not viscious which he should have in order to make them agree with what he's supposed to be doing.

The news around the smaller counties in Florida is how many people are switching from Democrat to Republican in order to vote in the city and county elections. Used to be you had to be registered Dem to vote in the primaries. Now often there are only Republicans running. There's a good reason for that. Democrats are rarely being elected.

Who is making up stories about the draft to scare the youth vote? Who is making up stories about Social Security to scare the seniors? Who is telling the party faithful to complain to the press about intimidation even if it doesn't happen? Who is telling half his base that he's always been for the Iraq war, and the other half that he's always been against it? Who has teams of jets and lawyers standing by to litigate every single close contest and irreparably damage our electoral process? Who is handing out crack cocaine in order to get bogus voter registrations? Who is insulting our allies in order to score political points?

Has anyone read Mark Steyn's letter of the week, from a Douglas A Amedeo of New York? To me, this perfectly illustrates how Kerry sees the little man (recalling his "I doubt anyone here earns $200,000" comment last week).

Kerry upsets congregation with his breath-taking arrogance

Yet, liberal or not, the parishioners of St. Mary's are apparently not too keen on Senator Kerry. Politics aside on this one. The animosity, an old parishioner explained to me, is due to the Senator's habit of relieving the old ushers of the collection basket and personally soliciting the offerings from the pews. Apparently the Senator does this whenever he attends.

Nicolas Roope is anti-globalization conspirator:

The idea is to really make people think about how rich they are compared to the rest of the world," said Nicolas Roope, one of the site's creators. "In the West, we tend to obsess about celebrities and the super-rich. This is a really simple way to turn that on its head."

The site was created by Roope and several others from Poke, a London interactive media company.

Roope, 32, Poke's creative director, said the site was launched to coincide with this week's World Trade Organization summit in Cancun, Mexico, where, increasingly, poor countries are pitting themselves against rich. Key issues are cheap generic drugs for developing nations, an end to richer nations' huge farm subsidies, reshuffling of trade tariffs between rich and poor countries, and special economic concessions for developing nations.

The site uses figures from the World Bank's Development Research Group, which estimates that for the world's 6 billion people, average annual income is $5,000.

most folks here respect diverse opinions, but your comments are a bit over the top. Name the "liberties" which are being taken by the big, bad, Bush administration. The fact is, there haven't been any. Sure, it takes longer for you to get on your aircraft, but let's face it, you might be a little inconvenienced by the extra security, but no one ever said that you were going to be loaded onto a cattle car and shipped off to a death camp. I have an even more shocking figure for you: the FDR administration was responsible for over 4,500 American deaths on the beaches of Normandy! Perhaps we should draw a cartoon of FDR leaping out of his wheelchair (due to a Native American blessing by John Kerry) and sodomizing the American Eagle!

You are one truly stupid human being.

Don't know where the F they came up with their numbers. AZ 51-49 is so wrong! It's more like 55-45. Would Kerry pull all his people, cancel a Martin Sheen speech in Scottsdale originaly scheduled for this Friday, and pull all TV ads if the score was within the margin for error. Why, no, child, there are differences. But they'd be tough to explain to someone whose mental capacity wrestles with the concept of the President being principally "responsible" for US combat deaths in Afghanistan and Iraq (if only Bush had instead walked OBL and Saddam through several choruses of kumbaya, there'd have been NO deaths, any thinking person knows that), and who thinks a juvenile agitprop painting of Bush and Cheney piloting an airplane full of dollars into the WTC is "really cool".

The map as it stands is a load (what do you expect from the LA Times?) They have VA, LA, and AZ as tossup states, which they are not. But since it's interactive, you can try out different possible scenarios. As Jheka said, Bush can lose PA and OH and still win as long as he wins FL, WI, and IA. (Of course, if he does lose both, I'll be sweating bullets nonetheless). Jonah Goldberg mentioned on NRO yesterday that when he gave all the states where Kerry is leading to Kerry and all the "leans Bush" states to Bush (excepting IA and PA, which the LA Times shows as tied), Dubya won.

Funny thing is that Ali Salem (Egypt's famous, if lonely, peace and democracy activist, and playwright and author) said that since the Baath party was modeled on Germany's Nazi party, he does consider the (second) Iraq war the last battle of WWII.

He also said that he was in favor of the Iraq war. And he said he considered it part of the war on terror, not because Saddam was directly involved with Al Qa'eda (though he was clearly directly involved in Hamas and some other terrorist groups), but because, as a Bedoin saying goes "you beat the dog to scare the lions".

Or as Wrechard pointed out, Iraq is a foothold. In WWII, America attacked Tunisia first. There is a strategy to war, and if you ignore the need for strategy you'll certainly lose.

OCTOBER 18--Police in the battleground state of Pennsylvania are looking for a man who robbed a bank Thursday night wearing a George W. Bush mask. The holdup man, who did not flash a weapon, demanded the money from a teller at a Commerce Bank near York. As seen in the below bank surveillance photos--provided to TSG by the Northern York County Regional Police--the robber wore gloves, a ski hat, and a fixed grin. Still, the VV artist is onto something. There's a picture much like this here in Chicago. It's unbelievably classless and distasteful, much like the comments that President Bush caused Sept 11th.
I can't vote in this election (not American) but I must add my opinion about this election. I think it's a real mistake for America to vote for John Kerry. This world is very different since 2001, even if people can't face it. President Bush is doing a decent job and deserves to be re-elected. Is he perfect? Nope, can't speak worth crap and is not exactly diplomatic. However, terrorists don't deserve diplomacy. I hope they all roast in hell.

When moonbats and LLL get into the realm of the nasty and scary accusations, one word will tell you everything you need to know about dealing with such minds.

Projection.

Tells ya what they fear, too. That's what's driving all of this; LLL fear. And helplessness. Deer in the headlights. Panic button time.

Giving the LLL credit at least for sincerely held beliefs, imagine what it might seem like to see everything you hold to be true and valid beginning to crumble before your eyes.

LBJ's Great Society is collapsing. Those who are heavily invested in it have the most to lose.

As do the terrorists, they see themselves becoming ever more marginalized; defeated; irrelevant.

They grasp at straws, shoot in the dark, and begin to sense the inevitable. How did Kubler-Roth define the stages of death?

Denial
Anger

Acceptance

My guess is they're in stage 2.

Guys, when you see a troll who comes in, spouts nonsense and makes accusation after accusation, and then refuses any requests for coherent answers or backing up of charges with facts, we see someone who knows that they can't back anything up and is content to just stir things up. What they in fact are doing is behaving exactly as is expected from someone on the left when interacting with others from the left. It is the way they think and act in groups. It is enough, when inside their little circles, to throw accusations around, spout innuendo, and make completely off-the-wall charges, because it is how someone who is LLL is *expected* to think, and how they must think in order to be on that end of the spectrum. The LLL is a draw to people who lack critical thinking skills, the ability to come up with ones own conclusions, to form an orginal thought. It is easier to become part of the LLL collective, and also less scary, because you don't actually have to back yourself up. They can resort to emotion and invective, and that, inside their circles, is enough. Therefore, when they venture out into the real world, and are faced with coherent arguments and rebuttals, they are completely without the tools necessary to hold even a modest debate on facts. In fact, to do so would be to cause them to question their own belief system, their very core values (loosely defined as they are), and is quite frightening to them. Like a cornered animal, all it knows how to do is to strike out in the same manner that has served it so well inside the LLL circles, and is left completely dumbfounded as to why it doesn't work in the Real World, and it either retreats to its circle of saftey, or continues making itself look even more foolish, until it has no choice but to retreat its skewed circle of acceptance, where no one requires rational thought or critical debate. Intelligence does not equal common sense, or even good sense. So their academic achievements, ie professors, etc. mean nothing as far as the ability to come out and face the real world, and evaluate it critically.

That is why they will continue to show up, here, there, and everywhere, and why they can never hold an honest debate on nearly anything, and why calls for facts, examples, etc can never be met, except with more innuendo, sarcastice remarks, changes of the subject, invective, and so on.

One almost feels sorry for them. Almost. I don't feel sorry enough for them that I want them around. Well, maybe in a zoo. Maybe we could charge admission and pay off the national debt.

He must be thinking about all the rights Kerry's promised to give him.

Did you catch John Kerry's gaffe in the third debate?

No, not the one about Mary Cheney being born a lesbian. That abusive and cynical outburst produced gasps in living rooms around the nation and certainly cost Kerry votes.

But there was a more serious gaffe in the debate. It revealed how Kerry's vision of government is at odds not just with that of George Bush but with that of America's founders. In answer to a question about gay marriage, Kerry said: "Because we are the United States of America, we're a country with a great, unbelievable Constitution, with rights that we afford people, that you can't discriminate in the workplace. You can't discriminate in the rights that you afford people."

"A gaffe," as columnist Michael Kinsley once wrote, "is when a politician tells the truth." In this case, Kerry's gaffe is an inadvertent statement of what he--and many on the left--believe is the truth but is actually false and dangerous.

The key phrase was "rights that we afford people." This was no mistake. He said it twice. ........

I don't know if this has been posted, but I am too damned angry to check:Kerry team slams reports VP Cheney had a flu shot

Senator John Kerry's presidential campaign Wednesday slammed Vice President Dick Cheney, a heart patient, over reports he had a flu shot, despite a shortage of the vaccine.

The campaign complained that Treasury Secretary John Snow and Senate Majority leader Bill Frist also had jabs, despite Bush's advice that the young and healthy did not need to get an injection.

"Once again, the Bush administration proves that it is the 'do as we say, not as we do' White House," the campaign said in a statement issued in Pittsburgh where Kerry was campaigning.

"The very week that (health) secretary (Tommy) Thompson is telling Americans to keep calm, Dick Cheney, John Snow and Bill Frist are getting flu shots."

"It is unfortunate that the Bush administration failed to do the work necessary to ensure that all Americans, including those most at risk, had been able to get shots as well."

Cheney would fit into the government's definition of those most vulnerable to a looming influenza epidemic as he has a long history of heart disease.

Bush last week suggested in the final presidential debate that the young and healthy forgo the annual shot amid a shortage of vaccine that Kerry has blamed on the president's management of the health system.

I would imagine that both bubba and hil had theirs. VP Cheney would fit the requirements anywhere in this country, as does bubba, because they have heart disease. If he did get his vaccine,I cannot imagine anyone in the Republican Party even making mention of it. Strange that bubba is going to actively campaign...could it be internal polling that is scaring the dhummis?

OT, but could this be hacking? Bush and GOP Web Sites Suffer Outages

Gives you that creepy, fun house mirror feeling to look at the left's reflection of its supposed nightmare: GWB sucking the life out of liberty. When we know it is the left's metastasizing big government plans that are in fact sucking the life out of liberty. And they accuse us, whose first loyalty is to liberty, of doing what they do. The cheek.

Now on to the more important OT thread here: Dreams. Last night I'm in a parking garage inside a big yellow van. The driver gets out which upsets the balance of the van (the sort of nonsense you see in movie car wrecks) so it starts to tip over a low concrete wall by a six story drop off. I yell at the driver to get back inside and right the van, but his efforts are futile, and over the edge tumbles the van, me inside. Takes a dream-forever for the bleedin' van to fall, and it's rolling over and over, so I crawl out the window and attempt to scramble atop the spinning van, so as to come out on top when it hits bottom, thereby saving myself. An eternity of cold terror scrabbling over a falling yellow van (the kind that Holiday Inn used to send to pick up guests from the airport) in hopes of winding up on top when it smashes into the pavement below, because, in dream logic, the crumpling van will cushion the blow, like an airbag. Van finally hits bottom, I wake up, miraculously alive. (I must have gotten on top.) What does it all mean?

Regular readers of the Voice, such as myself (it's free, I wouldn't pay for it) realize this is about the 6th Bush cover the paper has run in the last 10 weeks or so. The Voice needs Bush like a crack whore needs her fix. It shows, in fact, an accelerating collapse (just like the Yankees tonight) of creativity. For the Voice, it's all Bush, all the time. I think the editors have completely run out of ideas on what to write about, so they just do some anti-Bush cover and, "Yeah, man, we're stickin' it to the man good this week."

Now, if this artwork appeared on the cover of "The Weekly Standard," then I'd be concerned.

The only things I regularly read in the Voice are columns by Nat Hentoff and sex columnist Dan Savage.

The radical haters seem to have much in common, whether they are Nazis or the new antisemites or the BDS Left. Or perhaps the BDS Left is just too lazy to come up with new material, they just scour the nazi works for stuff they can use.

As a loan officer of an AZ bank, I am now required, REQUIRED!, to fill out a form called the Patriot Act Disclosure. This means that I have to ask my borrower to show me their identification, and I have to take several seconds to fill in 10 blanks. And, as if that weren't bad enough, both the borrower and I must then SIGN and DATE this form.

When you throw in the extra time I have to spend making copies of this form for new loan applications, not to mention punching holes in it so it will hang inside a loan folder, I am totally exhausted at the end of each day.

Premonition painting, entitled, 'Omen', by Charles Wm. Burwell III, done just prior to 9-11. Surrealistic, not my favorite, but interesting:

...two twisted buildings flanking a distant scene beyond water.  Large angular beams dominated the sky with a pyramid hovering over their intersection.  The round objects in the sky follow a straight path towards the tall column.  Some of these elements were painted over in September, 2000 when I hung the canvas outside my studio.  I decided to repaint the angular beams which took on the appearance of a Christian cross.  I consciously decided not to include the beams for that reason.

This is when  I added the second column and the rat monster atop doing something dreadful, more detail to the bay, falling panes of glass, and ghostly gray  people walking on the pavement below the buildings.

How weird! I just saw that print in the book, 'Infidels' yesterday at Barnes and Noble. The book itself looked kind of sympathetically slanted toward Islam so I put it back on the shelf, but it was full of great art related to the "cultural exchange" between Islam and Civilization.

I was delighted to see woodcuts and French masters depicting Muslims as savages who behead Europeans. Very refreshing change from the PBS version.

I wonder, are there any art houses out there brave enough to do a call for entries of art works depicting Mohammed's impact on the world? I realize that he notion of depicting Mohammed is abhorrent to the delicate Muslim character, so this might become a pet project for me.

Whoever the illustrator is, he has made Bush's eyes too compassionate for the business of biting into the flesh of Lady Liberty... Not viscious which he should have in order to make them agree with what he's supposed to be doing.

Actually, like a good Anne Rice vampire, it looks like he's a little revulsed by it.

Its a well known fact that us Christians, even college educated ones who've never burned a cross or egged a synagogue, really hate the hook nosed Jews, and really just want the Jews to be in Israel to 1) abuse the Palestinians, whom we hate because they have darker skin than we or the Jews do and 2) just as soon as the Jews rebuild the Temple everything Hal Lindsey wrote will instantly come true, and all those cars with the bumper stickers about no driver in case of rapture will in fact have no driver, but the ones in cruise control will continue on until they hit highway bridge abutments and burst into flames.

There isn't a chance in the world that there are non-Jewish people who would support Israel because it is an advanced democratic civilization on the front lines of the war of the barbarians against modern civilization. That we feel empathy for a nation that goes out of its way to avoid killing the innocent, despite the fact that its enemies target its woman and children.

Good luck with your Mohammed project. I understand that a feature-length cartoon about him is coming out in November. I think it's being directed by the same guy who did "The Fox and the Hound" for Disney.

I can't imagine how they're going to do it, since, as you pointed out, showing Mo on screen (or anywhere else) is a big No No! What's it going to be like? Happy, Disney-animated Mamelukes beheading pagans as a jolly musical number plays in the background? "Sooooome daaaaaay, Mohaaaaaaamed with cooooooome. . . !"

Or are they going to do a puppetoon kind of thing, like Gumby? Or computer animation, like "Toy Story?" "You got a prophet in me! You got a prophet in me!" Or an Islamic version of "Veggie Tales?" Maybe the Moslem audience will accept Mo portrayed as a talking squash? (It's not human, after all.)

Or, how about some retro, black-and-white thirties style animation? You know, like an old Bosco cartoon, or Betty Boop? Or something more heroic, like Fleicher's Superman? "Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a talking squash! It's----MOHAMMED! YES, MOHAMMED, MESSENGER OF GOD, WITH POWERS AND ABILITIES FAR BEYOND THOSE OF ORDINARY ARABS!"

The possibilities are endless.

The paranoia, genocide, hatred, beating slaves to death (like a good messiah), raping and pillaging armies, the child bride and drooling over other kids, the cheating on his wives and the way his God flipflops whenever it's convinient for Mo. LOL! Oh dear, what a cartoon! 'Bambi' and 'Dumbo' made me cry, I can't imagine what 'Mohammed' would do to a child. (Although I have a good idea, I've seen Charles' slideshow.)

I wonder if Mohammed will be represented as a normal Disney character, but with his face scratched off, or 'disappeared', the way that usually happens to offensive things. Or maybe he will be a singing calligraphic symbol?

I guess I better get to work on my project and set up a site so I can do a call for entries. This is going to be fun. The revisionist bits about Jesus and the Jews would be pretty damn funny done by Trey Parker.

You know in the Muslim version, instead of Jesus being crusified, God disguises a little kid to magically look like Jesus while the actual Jesus hides under the bed.

They drag the little kid out and crusify him (Muslim child sacrifice just like today). Then Jesus goes directly to heaven with all that plebian nuesance of dying like ordinary nobodies have to go through. It's exactly the opposite of the Christian version where Jesus showed his solidarity with humans by being one of us.

I don't think Mo really meant to subvert the message of Christianity. I think he was actually illiterate and couldn't even imagine a religion where the messiah isn't given special perks, like extra wives and people dying for him.

I think your right about the need for ridicule. Taking them seriously is the worst thing we can do for their self-esteem. It lends them a certain amount of credibility and importance.

They deserve scorn, ridicule, and shame. They are bottom feeders and deserve to be portrayed as such. Art is not reflecting this right now. It just wouldn't be sensitive.

Team America was brilliant because the notion of a sacred cow was demolished. Not even the sacred cow poster child, the AIDS victim, was given a pass. Art needs to grow some backbone and reflect people's fears without the sacred cow handicap.

I can see, though, why Israelis wouldn't want to joke about it. After 9-11, it was very hard to laugh at anything. Certain jokes were just, wrong.

Sometimes I think one reason that the Israelis are so hated in the Middle East is that they're the only soft target.

The truth is always backwards for Muslims. Israel is the ONLY country in the middle east that HASN'T had huge massacres of thousands of Palestinian civilians. And so being the only safe target, they're the only people blamed.

And any other country in the world would respond to a weak enemy on their boarder sending terrorists by crushing them.

It sounds like Israelis are so wimpy that they won't even ridicule their enemies. - Though lawyers and corporate cowardice and institional cowardice (PCness) is turning the US into wimps that way too. But I think with Jews it probably more of a moral thing than a fear of lawyers or of losing market share.

The left and Nazism too many things in common to list in this short post.

Click on the link below to see that demonizing the President is not a new idea, it was in fact used during WW II by the Nazis to attempt to undermine the Roosevelt adminstration.

Notice how similiar in style the artwork is to classic Nazi propaganda posters, even in the sense that the "Bloodsucking" Bush is behind lady liberty just as the "Jew" is behind Roosevelt.

Roosevelt Betrays America

The "Bloodsucker" theme of Bush is too close to the anti-Semetic slur "Bloodsucker", often used by those who hate Jewish people.

These people are disgusting.

Well, if it isn't true, pretend as if it is. That seems to be the loser's tactic.

Something similar was on Saturday Night Live a couple of weeks ago. A cartoon portrayal of Bush and the election suggested he was having blacks in Florida rounded up and put in concentration camps, to prevent them from voting.

Inasmuch as no such thing is happening, why would it be suggested? Because he isn't doing anything wrong, but there is the need among lefties to pull our heartstrings. They are shameless exploiters. Thank god in cases like these, they are blatantly untrue.

I've lived in CO and TX my entire adult life. But don't get me wrong, I was a card-carrying republican from the day I could tie my shoes.

It humors me that the libs ACTUALLY BELIEVE the crap they say. I guess they believe if they say it over and over and over again that it'll come true.

The Village Voice is a little puke publication. Many gays throughout the heartland are actually Log Cabin Republicans and are fairly conservative fiscally.

This whole 'Bush is evil' thing is comical. I can't believe how much hatred is built up in the libs. They know they're on the wrong side of every issue, so they resort to preying on the uniformed, the uneducated, the youth, many minorities, and the elderly to try and scare up votes. They try and make these people believe they're entitled to stuff that they're not.

Robin Williams should be the voice of Allah. And he should do it just like the genie, in "Aladdin."

I agree with you about the need to heap ridicule and scorn on the heads of suicide bombers! One of these reasons they've garnered the support they have is that they're always shown in a misty halo of martyrdom; "Poor little Fatima became a suicide bomber after her brother was killed by the Israelis!" (They don't tell you that brother was shooting at Israeli schoolchildren, or that the whole family has terrorist ties.)

How about a skit where Arafat, in the after life, is offered his 70 virgins---and they all turn out to be suicide bombers, whose lives he helped cut short by encouraging them to die! In revenge, they now blow HIM up (think Daffy Duck, repeatedly getting blasted by Bugs Bunny) as the Master of Ceremonies grins and says, "Hey! we never said they'd be FRIENDLY virgins!"

Well, I don't know what Zulubaby would say about it, but I say that, since this is coming out of the San Francisco Chronicle, it's probably a piece of s***t, and best ignored.

Also, what does the fact that Zulubaby and this brain-dead cartoonist are both South African have to do with anything? And why do you call him her "friend?" Is she supposedly responsible for what he does? Are all South Africans supposed to think alike, as if they're an army of clones, or pod people?

Pretty dumb, Lance.

OT:
Something to ponder: You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named 'Bush', 'Dick', and 'Colon'.

"Ground Zero"? A marketing term, asswipe. No, sweetheart, this proud second-generation American Jew lives 4 blocks from the WTC."

Does anybody have any guesses as to what the # of lies contained in that reply might be?

Susan Estrich is a great idea! (Although hearing Eleanor Cliff's voice in my head would lead me to do some very unsavory things, too.) I think the Angel Gabreel, was the Allah-Mohammed intermediary, so maybe both voice talents could be used?

I can't believe how much hatred is built up in the libs. They know they're on the wrong side of every issue, so they resort to preying on the uniformed, the uneducated, the youth, many minorities, and the elderly to try and scare up votes. They try and make these people believe they're entitled to stuff that they're not.

Democrats used to be different. Now it's the party of the scum-sucking-bottom-feeder-socialists. And now, Republicans are the Democrats! I don't know where the Reagan Republicans went.

I grew up in CO, now I live in East Coast hell. *Sniff*

Poor Little Suicide Bomber, indeed.

I don't know too many Jews that can wield the word, 'Zionist' as an insult. 2nd generation? From where? Planet Moonbat? I don't know, maybe it does live a few blocks (on the street) from the WTC/Ground Zero. It sounds like a bottom-feeder, unemployed, sexually confused, most likely, homeless schizophrenic found out that the NYC Public Library has internet access and is trolling from there. But let's not judge.

SNL can't make fun of the left. It is far too dangerous. The only possible target for humor is the right. They are the only side big enough to take it without resorting to violence. Can you imagine the danger the comedians would be in if they did a skit about Palestinians? Or Muslim extremists? Or ActUp!, PETA, ELF freaks?

#260 Joshua
I loved you idea for a Palestinian sitcom! I kept thinking about a 'Mohammed in the Middle' type comedy, where an average Palestinian family is forced to relocate to the US (Israel is too raw a wound). Mr Arafat, a taxi driver, moves his (lovely?) wife, Fatima and their 40 children (all boys under the age of 25, all named Mohammed) to middle America. Hilarity ensues. The boys immediately destroy their front yard and the surrounding neighborhood. Episodes could include family Car-B-Ques, the hysterical fun of mailbox pipe bombs, and the Mohammed-is-a-baseball-pitching-prodigy-but-can-on ly-throw-rocks scenario. Fatima, the neighborhood flirt, is out to cheat on poor Mr. Arafat (because he does not treat her well), and as a result, none of the Mohammeds are his. Except, maybe Mohammed Osama Arafat, our protagonist, who questions the point of jihad, wishes to live the American dream and become an arborist, or something. Mohammed Osama is conflicted because his mother, Fatima Arafat, wishes him to become a shaheed so the family can afford a backyard pool. Mohammed Osama is also conflicted, because he is in love with the cute neighbor girl, Rachel Silverman, whose family the Arafats do not like (for some reason).

#302 NuclearTinkerbell

My Palestinian comedy was specifically about the absurdity of "the right of return" when many Palestinians want ethnic cleansing - you can't let murderer wanna-bees into your neighborhood.

#299 TalkinKamel

Allah should have no voice. The comedy come from the fact that Mohammad is crazy and greedy and Allah says anything Mohhamad wants him to say...

For instance, Mo had already said that God made adultery punished by death and that it takes two witnesses. So when THREE of his wives accuse Mo's favorite little girl of adultery, God conviniently tells Mo that women are worth 1/2 of a witness - problem solved.

Or when Mo thinks he can convince the Jews that he's their messiah, he tells his followers that God says Jews are great and holy and has them pray toward Jerusalem. And when he realizes that the Jews don't know he exists and don't care, he tells them that the Jews are the scum of the earth who've betrayed God and are the eternal enemies of all good Muslims.

Mo should talk to air.

. . . or, maybe Allah could be played by a sock puppet Mohammed wears on one hand, and consults when he wants to make serious decisions! "Well, what do you say, Allah?" "Oh, I say you should kill all those Jews, Moe! They're bad! You're the greatest!" Or a ventriloquist's dummy? (Moe can drink a glass of water while Allah "talks", to prove what he says is really, absolutely REAL!)

Or how about a marionette, like Howdy Doody? "What time is it, Jihadis and Jihadettes? IIIITTTTTTTT'S ALLAAAAAAAH-DOOOOOODY TIME!" (With Moe as "Buffalo Bob", of course.)

I wonder if there's some way to fit a Calvin and Hobbes reference in there. Like Allah is Mo's teddy bear that only he sees moving and talking. And everyone around Mo knows he's crazy...

The problem with that is, why would anyone follow him in that case?

309 TalkinKamel  Thu, Oct 21, 2004 11:08:41am

#308 Joshua

Yeah, I like the Calvin and Hobbs reference.

Maybe you can have people following him because he shows them how to get rich by stealing from others (which is, essentially, how he did gain his great popularity.)

310 Joshua (not a hamster) Scholar  Thu, Oct 21, 2004 11:29:07am

The terrorists themselves could be a great source of comedy.

I was just imagining that if you had a comedy about these things in Israel you could have a skit where the camera backs up from a TV set showing the previous skit to show a Hamas leader, surrounded by children/human shields watching the show and deciding that he has to get his revenge on the comedy troupe.

Hamas Leader: "Get Abdul fitted for a bomb jacket"

Wife: "But Abdul's only three months old."

At the end of the show you could have the leader hand the baby, wrapped in a bulky jacket over to the show's producer, "Could you hold this for a moment?"

Then the leader runs away, you hear the baby explode and you see the leader's jubilant face as he jumps for joy at his great victory.

311 Joshua (not a hamster) Scholar  Thu, Oct 21, 2004 12:52:50pm

Or a terrorist trying to pass as an Israeli in could sound just like Invader Zim. Imagine one trying to deflect suspicion:

"I'm a perfectly normal, God hating Zionist occupier like yourselves. Just pay no attention to me and we'll get along just fine"

LMAO!

"I committed the same kinds of atrocities as thousands of others in that I shot in free fire zones, used harassment and interdiction fire, joined in search and destroy missions, and burned villages. All of these acts were established policies from the top down, and the men who ordered this are war criminals." John Kerry April 1971 from William Fullbright's Senate Foreign Relations Committee

Gee, John.....doesn't that make you a war criminal as well???

"What saddens me most is that Democrats, above all those who shared the agonies of that generation, should now be re-fighting the many conflicts of Vietnam in order to win the current political conflict of a Presidential primary. . . . We do not need to divide America over who served and how . . ." John Kerry, on the Senate floor on Feb. 27, 1992, lamented that Vietnam had been "inserted into the campaign."

Yeah, I think Senator Kerry thinks that only he ( I served in Vietnam ) has the right to insert Vietnam into a campaign.
