The latest CBS News attack against President Bush, the “missing explosives” non-story, may have been thoroughly debunked and defanged, but CBS News isn’t finished trying to get John Kerry elected.

According to the New York Post, this Sunday’s edition of 60 Minutes will air a story echoing one of Kerry’s more spurious charges—that troops were sent to Iraq without proper body armor because of Bush’s tax cuts. (Hat tip: The Blogspirator.)

Also yesterday, CBS, which had planned to break the explosives story on “60 Minutes” on Sunday — 36 hours before the election — said it now plans to run a story on the show charging that U.S. troops were sent to Iraq without proper body armor because of Bush’s tax cuts, a charge often leveled by Kerry.

CBS News apparently does not even care any more that their agenda is obvious. The clock is ticking and they’re panicking.

You think our music- the Monkees music is banal and insipid?" -- Frank replying to Mike Nesmith on an episode of "The Monkees" on which Frank and Mike pretended to be each other for several minutes before the opening theme.
