The New York Times has really gone off the deep end in today’s parade of stories idolizing Yasser Arafat. If your blood pressure can stand it, start with Jimmy Carter’s op-ed, drooling over the legacy of a monster: Casting a Vote for Peace.

I don’t even want to quote this loathsome piece; I’ll just point out that Carter calls Arafat a “legitimate” leader based on his bogus election in 1996, but of course fails to point out that Arafat canceled the next election and went to his grave without ever relinquishing power. Jimmy Carter is a disgrace.
