Cheaters Not Welcome at Fiskie Awards

That little cheating script posted by a Daily Kos Kid (and never disavowed or deleted by Kos himself) has stirred up a storm in the blogosphere; check out the trackbacks for this entry by Captain Ed to see how many blogs have posted about it: Daily Kos Endorses Massive Cheating.

To prevent this kind of abuse by Kos Kidz and similar fools in the upcoming Idiotarian of the Year polling, I have a couple of possible options:

1) Use something called (in programmers’ jargon) a “captcha,” which stands for “Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart.” This means that before your vote is entered you’ll be asked to type in a sequence of characters, displayed in distorted fonts that humans can easily read, but computer scripts can’t decipher.

2) Allow only registered LGF lizardoids to vote in the poll.

Or... you can just click this button to open the Pages posting window right away.
