This year’s Robert Fisk Award for Idiotarian of the Year is a real cliffhanger, with an amazingly close race between Kofi Annan and Michael Moore in our first round of voting. Surprisingly, Dan Rather is coming in a distant third, followed at an even greater distance by Jacques Chirac and George Soros.

Michael Moore has been runner-up in both previous Fiskie polls. Will he break the curse this year?

Total number of votes as of this writing: 21,144.

1. Kofi Annan

2. Michael Moore

3. Dan Rather

4. Jacques Chirac

5. George Soros

The first round of voting closes at midnight tonight.
