LGF Full Disclosure

Instapundit has a discussion open, on full disclosure by bloggers of payments from political/commercial interests.

So, here’s mine:

1) I have never accepted money from any political or commercial person, entity, or nation in return for writing positive things about them at Little Green Footballs.

2) I have never accepted money from any political or commercial person, entity, or nation in return for writing negative things about any other political or commercial person, entity, or nation.

I hope that’s clear enough. But let me put it another way: no one has ever offered to pay me for the above services, either.

I think we had one or two political ads run at LGF during the election—nothing like the dozens that were running at lefty sites like Daily Kos and Atrios—but there was no quid pro quo whatsoever. In fact, it went the other way. One of our two political advertisers (no names, please) had a statement on their web site that could have been construed as “gay-bashing.” I requested that they reword the statement, and they graciously complied with my request.

 Frank says:

Well Mike, I'm abnormal. -- When FZ appeared on the Mike Douglas show (solo, playing guitar with recorded backup), Mike said "Your latest album is called Zoot Allures. How do you come up with such names for your records?" (or something equally banal!) Frank's succinct reply is printed above.
