George Soros has found a home at Lebanon’s Daily Star, in an op-ed that says there’s no right and no wrong, no truth and no falsehood, no freedom and no tyranny, only the guiding light of international law in the brave new world of “open societies”—and America is breaking that law: Bush must embrace the values of open societies. (Hat tip: NC.)

Paradoxically, the most successful open society in the world, the U.S., does not properly understand the first principles of an open society; indeed, its current leadership actively disavows them. The concept of open society is based on recognition that nobody possesses the ultimate truth, that one may be wrong.
