Britain is releasing Islamic terrorists from prison: Terror suspects freed from Belmarsh. (Hat tip: Jheka.)
Six foreign terror suspects have been freed on conditional bail from Belmarsh prison after being detained for up to three years, Home Office sources said.
The six were Abu Qatada - described by one British judge as a “truly dangerous individual” - and those known only as E, H, K, P and Q.
The men were thought to have left custody under the same strict conditions imposed on another detainee, named A, who walked free last night after a ruling by the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (Siac).
And if measures like the following are necessary, you have to wonder why they’re being released at all:
Under bail conditions agreed by Siac chairman Mr Justice Ouseley, the detainees will be electronically tagged, face a night-time curfew from 7pm to 7am and be barred from using mobile phones and the internet.
If they wish to meet anyone outside their home they must obtain permission from the Home Office, providing the other person’s name, date of birth, address and photograph.
They will have to live at an address notified to the Home Office and police will have the power to search the property without warning.
