NY Review of Books on Rathergate
It continues to amaze me that otherwise intelligent people, people who should and presumably do know better, are still trying to pretend that the blatantly bogus, fraudulent, fake, forged, phony CBS National Guard documents could possibly, somehow, maybe, be genuine.
The latest example of this bizarre cognitive dissonance comes from James C. Goodale, retired General Counsel of The New York Times, in a piece for überlib journal The New York Review of Books: The Flawed Report on Dan Rather.
I’d write something in answer to this confused, misleading defense of Rather and CBS, but I don’t need to—because TigerHawk has already done an exemplary job of tearing Goodale’s piece apart.
