Memorial Commemorates Mosque Murder
Long before September 11, 2001, the New York Police Department had a lethal run-in with the Religion of Peace™. (Hat tip: JWL.)
May 2, 2005 — The family of a cop murdered in an infamous Harlem mosque melee 32 years ago was honored aboard the USS Intrepid yesterday. …
Officer Cardillo and his partner were responding to a bogus report of a downed cop at the Nation of Islam’s Mosque No. 7.
But the 911 call was an ambush. And neither cop knew that, under a secret deal between the NYPD and the mosque, the mosque was a “sensitive location” and that they essentially they were barred from entering without permission.
The two were beaten by about 20 Muslim men, and Cardillo was shot with his own gun.
