Daily Kos: We’re So Popular

The Daily Kos groupie who goes by the name of “Hunter” is crowing today that all the right wing blogs are reading Daily Kos, and congratulating himself on how popular Kos is: Daily Kos: When News Happens, Right Wing Blogs Turn to… Daily Kos?

A bit of a meta story, here. As you all know, last Thursday was one of the busiest non-election days in Daily Kos history. That’s not terribly surprising, given the events in London.

In perusing through the various right-wing blogs that night, however, what surprised me most is how heavily they linked to Daily Kos during the hours after the attacks. And not in a good way, of course. The usual suspects like Malkin and LGF of course, then branching out from those to other sites, and still other sites… Instapundit with a link to an entire blog post about someone who felt unfairly troll rated here, so apparently Thursday was a slower news day than we thought.

A sizable portion of the whole right-wing blogosphere, during the aftermath of the attacks, immediately leapt to play the go-to-Kos-and-search-for-damning-comments game.

And as we all know, lefty blogs never do anything like that.

On Thursday, LGF had 15 posts. Only one mentioned Kos—with disgust, of course.

A reminder about “Hunter:” this is the same dishonest Kos Klown who wrote an incredible pile of pseudo-technical nonsense, desperately trying to “prove” the CBS National Guard memos were genuine: Daily Kos: TANG Typewriter Follies; Wingnuts Wrong. And he had to know while writing that it was all lies.

He who laughs last, Hunter.

 Frank says:

I was writing all kinds of positive and negative canons and weird inverted this and retrograde that and getting as spaced-out mathematically as I could and I was going "Wait a minute (laughs), who cares about that stuff?" I had always liked rhythm and blues so here I was stuck between the slide rule and the gut bucket somewhere and I decided that I would opt for a third road someplace in between. -- From an 1972 interview to Martin Perlich.
