1. NY Times -- In practical terms, they've done more harm in the war on terror than the others. Most of the others are obvious partisans, NYT is treated by many as non-partisan. Their attitude that harming Bush takes priority over everything else is disgraceful.

2. Sheehan -- She might have been my first choice, but she's partly deranged and she's preaching to the choir.

3. Kofi -- A fraud who causes a lot of harm. See this letter by Glen Williams at Mark Steyn's web site.

Apparently some UN bigwig complained that the Gulf States hadn't donated their fair share for the Kashmir earthquake relief. The next day, the paper (Gulf News) had an indignant response from the local Red Crescent that UAE had donated $100,000,000 directly to the Pakistani relief agencies. It seems the UN asked for $35,000,000 for the privilege of donating through them for overheads.

So now you know where 35% of the tsunami billions went...

I think the NY Times will end up seriously regretting their role in the leaks. The claim that the first amendment protected sources was always dubious; newspapers were better off quietly making deals with prosecutors instead of forcing the courts to rule on the issue. Now prosecutors know they can go after reporters and prospective sources know that protection of their identity isn't guaranteed. If there's any justice several people, possibly journalists, will spend part of 2006 in prison because of the NSA leaks.

I would have to say that she isn't the best choice for the Idiotarian of the Year because of the circumstances that lead to the MSM's spotlight of her pathological displays of BSD and anti-American rhetoric. If not for the sacrifice by her son, we would not have heard of her.

Her behavior was and is desperate and sad, but it is because of her son's bravery and service above and beyond that the MSM broadcast her neurology as it turned to pathology.

Galloway, on the other hand, deserves all our spite and spit by his own actions. From courting Sadaam to glad-handing Hamas, the man is loathsome through and through. He deserves this year's award in particular for becoming road kill in the face of oncoming reason, namely from the shambling hulk of Hitchens. I was a student there when Bush41 was elected and everyone was going around wearing black armbands. I really got harassed, but I didn't mind, because they were just jealous. Rignt before the election I remember being in line at the ASUC store behind a young girl when they were giving out free samples of some new candy bar. The girl asked the clerk why they were giving them away, and the smart-a$$ clerk said "to celebrate getting rid of 4 more years of "Reagan and his cronies." The girl dropped the candy and said she didn't want one, thanks. They clerk was amazed and made some snide comment to me. Although he would not remember it, I have had the privilege (many years ago) of meeting Pat Robertson in a small group setting.

If nothing else, the man exudes a certain gentleness. I would trust my child with him (if I still had a small child).

For another thing, while David Duke is an all out Jew-hater, Pat Robertson loves Israel and speaks out frequently on her defense. Don't tell me you are not aware of this?

And, for this latter reason, along with Robertson's steadfast opposition to the Islamofascists, I am appealing to Charles to admit he was less than fair to put Robertson on the list of candidates for a fiskie.

Furthermore, NO ONE can say that Roberston does not love America. Period.

I am not asking Charles to LIKE Roberston, for crying out loud, but simply to admit that he'd rather have Robertson than, say, Olympia Snowe or John Chafee or Wolf Blitzer, in his foxhole in a shootout with the likes of Barney Franks, Congresswoman Lee, and President Almondhead of Iran.
