Today’s ride: 41.07 miles on an astoundingly beautiful day, through crisp Los Angeles air scrubbed clean by yesterday’s rainstorm. Getting cooler out there, and I had to break out some of the warmer clothes to deal with it—arm warmers, undershirt, head scarf. Rode south into Palos Verdes and did some training climbs, not trying to set any land speed records but just staying on top of the gear and pedaling a steady tempo. Surf was up, with some of the south-facing beaches getting what looked like 6-8 foot waves. A bit of a headwind heading back north, but nothing too imperialistic.
