Today’s ride: 52.73 miles, south into the wilds of Palos Verdes, on a beautiful Southern California summer day. What? It’s not summer? Tell that to my sunburn. That PV ride is packed with long rolling hills that can really hurt you, especially if you did 50 miles the previous day, but the weather was so exceptional that stopping would have hurt more.

Tell that to my legs, who are calling me worse names tonight than Glenn Greenwald.
