Baron Bodissey has a new project, simultaneously fascinating and appalling, using animated images to visualize Samuel P. Huntington’s statement that Islam has “bloody borders:” The Bloody Borders Project.

There's an incident listed in Toulouse, France that killed 30 and injured 2000. I don't remember this at all. Anybody got a clue I can borrow?

Too bad we don't have statistics for deaths caused by Islam since the 7th century.

TOULOUSE BLAST ARRESTS
12.6.2002. 15:29:12

French authorities have remanded in custody 11 people over a fatal chemical explosion.

The blast, in September last year, killed 30 people and injured 2,000 more in Toulouse in the south of France. The group were all junior employees of subcontractors of the AZF factory. Last week, a report by experts was delivered to investigation judges, which said the blast was a "chemical accident" not a deliberate act. The report highlighted that, shortly before the blast, chlorine-based products had been incorrectly placed in an area that contained ammonium nitrate. France's worst post-war industrial disaster, left a crater 50 metres wide, and damaged thousands of homes and businesses in the city's southern suburbs.

From the website,

The goal of the Salafists — those who espouse the extreme fundamentalist form of Islam — is nothing less than the ascendance of Islam worldwide, and the re-establishment of the Caliphate to rule over the Ummah, which is the collective body of the faithful along with their slaves and vassals.

The Bloody Borders Project charts the ongoing progress of their efforts.

Rooz also notes that the "Religious Commandment" page of the website offers Muslim women religious justification for exposing their hair: "Should a Muslim who seeks martyrdom be compelled not to maintain her [head] covering in order to carry out the important thing that she has undertaken [i.e. martyrdom], she will commit no crime. One of the principles of Islam is that in time of need, some prohibitions become permitted..."

Perhaps I'm missing something, but I find this to be unimpressive. I would have thought based on media reports that the spread of Islamo-fascism or as the author names it 'Salafists' to be much greater...

I can't help thinking that if the Caliphate is indeed the goal, those who would establish it moved to quickly and without any organization. How many others reading LGF knew nothing of, or had a positive or neutral regard for Islam, before 9/11? How many of us knew the words hudna, taquiyya, kitman, dhimmi, jyzabefore that time? How many of us believed that al-Andulus was a utopia with its convivienca? How many of us were not especially pro-Israel and even sympathetic to the Palestinians?

In answer to your question, there are such statistics and more importantly I think we will start to see answers to your question of historical deaths in mainstream sources. I think that this is also the first time that we are starting to see in American mainstream sources, regarding expansionist Islam, references to the fact that all "Muslim" lands were themselves conquered, and many were Christian. This review of Bruce Bawer's book for example is from the Philly
Inquirer.
The notion that, for example, Israel was stolen from the Palestinians, is less tenable if indeed Palestine was stolen from the Christians by the Muslims. In Zionest circles, this has always been understood, and if that thought is moving into the mainstream, if the Palestine is seen as a front on the historical battle line of Islamic expansion, than those waging the jihad are really F'ing stupid and have set themselves back a few centuries. Necxt is mainstream understanding that the Crusdades were mostly defensive and/or liberationist.

19 ibu guru  Fri, Mar 3, 2006 4:12:12pm

It's not just the borders that are bloody. It's everywhere islamofascists are. Violence, rape, fraud, harassment, bigotry, hypocrisy walk right within them.

Zookeepers need to keep wild animals caged, not let them roam the city wreaking havoc wherever they go.

20 Cato the Elder  Fri, Mar 3, 2006 4:18:33pm

Where's the map of all the Christian attacks? You know, where they scourge and crucify innocent Muslims unless they convert.

And the Wiccan atrocities? Where are they?

This is so one-sided. Racism!

21 Portolan  Fri, Mar 3, 2006 4:18:38pm

Salafists. So that's what they call themselves. I learned something new today. I think that we need to learn these terms that the enemy uses so we can fight them and use their own terms against them, thus taking more power away from them, even if it's just a little thing like using their own words. Expose them. Drag them out into the light. The western leftists will never be convinced, but we need the psychological weapons in our arsenal.

We really do need to use their own vocabulary against them. It does have a psychological impact. Not to trivialize, but I'll use this analogy; about 10 years ago, when my stepdaughter was raising hell, I learned some of the ebonics used at the time and used them in mocking and ironic ways. She was stunned that I knew these terms. I wasn't supposed to know that. She even said that once or twice. I took them from her. It really did strike at the core and took a little bit of her arsenal away from her. Sure, it was a hard fight, but she is a responsible adult now.

That's why we have machine guns. Should make it a lot like cutting corn.

60 chemicalcorpse  Fri, Mar 3, 2006 11:56:56pm

I don't know about ya'll; I am really angry about the real world possibility of the need to start hoarding supplies and stocks to have on hand in the event of a nuclear attack.

How the hell have we gotten to this point?

Why are we ignoring what is clearly laid before our feet?

Do we have to absorb the loss of several million souls before we do what should be done NOW?

61 Timbre  Sat, Mar 4, 2006 5:07:13am

The idea for the project is wonderful, but I have serious doubts about the validity of the individual incidents. Jihad Islam has been bad enough since the 7th century. We don't need to embellish the statistics with cases of Muslim-on-Muslim murder or including hunches like the Toulouse explosion. The Jihadists are quick to brag about killings performed "on the path of Allah," and they've been bragging for 1,400 years. We need to stick to those killings, IMHO.

I can't list the dates and information of particular incidents, because the raw data is the property of thereligionofpeace.com, and he hasn't given permission to list it in raw form. Fortunately, he has no objection to the aggregate display of the data.

You can, however, go over to his site for a listing of all the incidents.

63 Baron Bodissey  Sat, Mar 4, 2006 6:40:03am

I can, however, tell you about a couple of the incidents.

Houston, TX, 8/6/2003: "After undergoing a religious revival, a Saudi college student slashes the throat of a Jewish student with a 4" butterfly knife, nearly decapitating the young man."

Baton Rouge, LA, 9/28/2002: "Muslim sniper shoots a Korean mother in the back."

I think that last one is the same as the Beltway sniper.

64 EE  Sat, Mar 4, 2006 8:46:15am

This is a very good project.

It shows, in a concise way using the map, the breadth of the problem of the Islamic belligerent resurgence, and also gives an indication of its intensity at various places.

There isn't any other convenient way that I know of that people have of viewing the Jihad Resurgence.

A map like this should be appearing periodically in the daily newspapers and on the TV news. It should be a feature of discussions and presentations on campuses.

Good for you, Baron Bodissey.

This quote was in the middle of a spoken section of "The Mud Club" in which a dude walks into the club with a blue Mohawk and proceeds to "work the floor, work the wall, work the monitor system. . . ." The band was having monitor feedback problems at the Blossom concert, and there are numerous references to P.A. equipment throughout this ramble. Other than that, the quote is meaningless, I guess. But great imagery!
