Cycle of Violence: Ineffable Weather

I wasn’t going to ride today, because the forecast was rain and I’m not that hardcore. (It isn’t the rain that bothers me, it’s cleaning the bike afterward.) But when it became clear that the almighty weatherbot had short-circuited again and the rain wasn’t going to materialize, I threw the bike gear on and got in a quick 25 miles through wild, rapidly changing weather and exceptionally clean, crisp air (for Los Angeles). There was a nasty fascist headwind going south that reminded me of the Gestapo, Pol Pot, and Ted Bundy rolled into one. But on the way back, that brutal fist of repressive wind became a lovely conveyor belt-like proletariat tailwind, allowing speeds of 25+ mph sans work.
