Fully Precedented Hamas Lying
It’s absolutely outrageous to see one wire story after another trumpeting the “unprecedented peace overture” from Hamas terrorist Mahmoud al-Zahar (in a blatantly duplicitous letter to the United Nations) while totally ignoring what this creature said to China’s Xinhua only three days ago:
“I dreams of hanging a huge map of the world on the wall at my Gaza home which does not show Israel on it,” he said. “I hope that our dream to have our independent state on all historic Palestine (including Israel).”
“This dream will become real one day. I’m certain of this because there is no place for the state of Israel on this land,” said al-Zahar.
While every wire service is carrying the UN letter story, they were utterly uninterested in al-Zahar’s genocidal wish.
At least this AFP headline is appropriately sardonic: Hamas admits cash crisis after ‘two-state solution’ UN letter.
UPDATE at 4/5/06 9:34:01 am:
Meanwhile, back in Gaza today, Mahmoud al-Zahar couldn’t keep the crocodile smile in place: Al-Zahar wants ‘Palestine from river to sea’. (Hat tip: Pooh.)
Israel must not be recognized and the Palestinian Foreign Ministry should aim to establish a Palestinian State from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean, in place of the Jewish State, PA Foreign Minister Mahmoud al-Zahar said according to Palestinian media reports.
Al-Zahar made the remarks during his first meeting with Foreign Ministry officials and ahead of the first session to be held by the Hamas-led Palestinian government.
