Patterico has caught LA Times columnist Michael Hiltzik using “sock puppet” identities on blogs, posting under at least two different pseudonyms to attack his detractors and defend the LA Times: Three in One: Michael Hiltzik, Mikekoshi, and Nofanofcablecos.
As long-time LGF readers know, if I find people doing that here it’s cause for immediate banning. It’s dishonest, sleazy, and very, very small behavior. And it raises the question: how many more mainstream media journalists are using sock puppets on blogs?
