Cycle of Violence: Winds of Gramsci

Today’s ride: 54.20 miles, on a day that started out threatening to rain but got over it and turned into a great day for riding—partly cloudy, not too warm, not too cold. A bit windy, but not quite in the fascist zone; you might call it a Gramscian wind instead, scheming and switching directions. We hammered from one end of the south bay path to the other, hitting a maximum speed of 30 mph on one straightaway when the Gramscian wind was being deceptively cooperative, sort of doing interval training but not really. Leg condition: pleasantly sore. Appetite: immense.

 Frank says:

If you wind up with a boring, miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest or some guy on TV telling you how to do your shit, then YOU DESERVE IT. -- From the Real Frank Zappa book.
