In a pan-Arab poll published on Monday by Saudi Arabia’s Okaz newspaper, Ariel Sharon was voted the worst man of the year. The top four:

Ariel Sharon: 56%
George Bush: 29%
Osama Bin Laden: 11%
Mullah Omar: 3%
