Friday Night Acoustic

In our Zionist-funded nitrogen-filled chamber deep beneath Denver International Airport, we’re in an acoustic mood tonight:

1) From her album 1000 Kisses, Patty Griffin’s powerful and creepy version of Bruce Springsteen’s “Stolen Car.”

2) Jerry Douglas’ dobro playing is insanely great on bluegrass workout “Choctaw Hayride,” from Alison Krauss & Union Station’s New Favorite.

3) Nickel Creek have their own kind of alt bluegrass, and “Doubting Thomas” from their album Why Should the Fire Die? is a great example of their evocative lyrics and impeccable musicianship.

4) As you listen to this astounding performance, remember that it’s one guitar player with one acoustic guitar, no digital editing tricks and no overdubbing: Preston Reed’s “Shinkansen,” from his album Handwritten Notes.
