Nick Berg’s Father Weeps for Zarqawi
The father of Nick Berg is a tool of moveon.org and International ANSWER, and he responds in predictable moonbat fashion to the death of the man who decapitated his son: Father of Zarqawi victim draws no comfort from his death.
NEW YORK (AFP) - The father of Nick Berg, a US businessman allegedly beheaded by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, said Thursday he regretted the death of his son’s murderer and warned of an upsurge in violence in Iraq.
“The death of every human being is a tragedy,” Michael Berg said in a statement.
“The death of Mr. Zarqawi means a continuation of the violence and revenge that took the life of my son,” he said. “This will mean an increase in violence and resistance to the occupation of Iraq by the US military.”
UPDATE at 6/8/06 6:41:49 pm:
Pseudo-blogger Wonkette apparently thinks that ineptly quoting John Donne gives Michael Berg “absolute moral authority.”
And in the process of linking to LGF, “Wonkette” quotes me as writing something I did not and would not say, linking to a page where the quote doesn’t appear. Way to smear, babe!
The father of Nick Berg, the American allegedly beheaded by Zarqawi, takes the high road, quotes John Donne, is called “twat waffle.”
The maestro of class, Wonkette, in a post titled “Feminists F*cked by Dr. Finger,” is objecting to an LGF commenter using the words “twat waffle?” That’s pretty rich.
And by the way, Michael Berg mangled the John Donne quote not only in a moral sense, but literally. In fact he’s so far off it could be the Wonkettebot that’s imagining things:
Any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankind; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
