The Palestinian Big Lie
Here’s another AFP article that promotes the latest Palestinian Big Lie: Abbas says EU funding mechanism ‘not adequate’.
Abbas rejected any talk of naming a new prime minister to replace incumbent Ismail Haniya as a way out of the crisis. “It is still too too early to talk about this,” he said.
He said that talks are still in progress between the two sides over a document drawn up by Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails which proposes a final settlement with Israel of two states living side by side.
“We are currently in talks, which began in Ramallah and are currently taking place in Gaza to discuss the document of the detainees,” Abbas said.
The Palestinian president and the Hamas-led government have been locked in crisis since Abbas announced a July 26 referendum on the blueprint, pending a cross-party agreement.
“The referendum is still a possibility,” Abbas said. “But it is not our goal, it is better for us and for the Palestinian people if we agree.”
The document calls for a national unity government, an end to attacks in Israel and the creation of a Palestinian state alongside Israel on land conquered by the Jewish state in 1967.
Absolute hogwash. AFP is lying to you, and so are the other wire services. The Palestinian National Conciliation Document of the Prisoners, written by a bunch of convicted terrorist murderers imprisoned in Israel for their crimes, endorses neither a “two-state solution,” nor the creation of a Palestinian state “alongside Israel.” Read it for yourself at the link above.
Here’s the part of the document about the creation of a Palestinian state:
1- the Palestinian people in the homeland and in the Diaspora seek to liberate their land and to achieve their right in freedom, return and independence and to exercise their right in self determination, including the right to establish their independent state with al-Quds al-Shareef [Jerusalem] as its capital on all territories occupied in 1967 and to secure the right of return for the refugees and to liberate all prisoners and detainees based on the historical right of our people on the land of the fathers and grandfathers and based on the UN Charter and the international law and international legitimacy.
It makes no mention at all of Israel, and in fact ties the creation of a Palestinian state to several other demands that are completely unacceptable—Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital, the “right of return” (a code phrase for the demographic destruction of Israel), and the release of all convicted terrorists from prison. This is a “two-state solution?”
And here’s the section that AFP wants you to believe endorses “an end to attacks in Israel:”
3- the right of the Palestinian people in resistance and clinging to the option of resistance with the various means and focusing the resistance in the occupied territories of 1967 alongside with the political action and negotiations and diplomatic action and continuation of popular and mass resistance against the occupation in its various forms and policies and making sure there is broad participation by all sectors and masses in the popular resistance.
“Focusing the resistance in the occupied territories of 1967” is a helluva long way from “an end to attacks in Israel.” And notice that the rest of this paragraph is nothing but a call to continue the violence—even after the creation of a Palestinian state.
This document is a fraud and a hoax, and by promoting these lies the mainstream media are failing in their job to inform the public. I know… what else is new?
