Al Aqsa Martyrs Leader Dead?
The leader of the terror gang Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades in Jenin, Zakaria Zubeidi, whose face is disfigured by powder burns from close proximity to numerous explosions, may have gone to meet Allah: Reports conflict about Zubeydi’s fate.
Conflicting reports emerged on Thursday night about the fate of the Aksa Martyrs Brigades Jenin leader Zakariya Zubeydi, after the IDF laid siege to a building which housed the top operative and several other Palestinian fugitives.
Al-Arabiyya television network reported that Zubeydi was killed in the IDF raid, while an al-Aksa source said that he escaped and was in a secure hiding place.
Israeli security officials reported that one of the fugitives was killed in the operation, while four were wounded and were subsequently evacuated to Haemek Hospital in Afula.

Undercover Israel Defense Forces soldiers operating in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank on Thursday raided a tent holding senior Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades gunman Zakaria Zubeidi. An exchange of gunfire ensued, and Zubeidi succeeded in eluding the soldiers.
The Jenin raid was carried out one day after security forces on Wednesday foiled a major suicide bombing in center of the country, arresting a Palestinian youth from the village of Silat al Khartiya. The suspect, Ahmed Ziyud, was a member of the terrorist network run by Zubeidi.
The 32-year-old Zubeidi, who carries the title of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades commander in the northern West Bank, is thought to be one of the most wanted senior gunmen in the territories.
