RetweetFBI Worried About US Hizballah Cells

Tue, Jul 18, 2006 at 3:23:26 pm PDT

As the Middle East crisis worsens, the FBI is concerned about Hizballah agents in the United States—and they should be. In the past five years, LGF has documented a huge amount of open support for Hizballah in the US: FBI eyes Hizbollah in US as tensions with Iran rise.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The FBI is trying to ferret out possible Hizbollah agents in the United States amid concerns that rising U.S.-Iranian tensions could trigger attacks on American soil, FBI officials said.

Relations between Washington and Tehran, which soured after the 1979 Islamic revolution, have deteriorated further recently over Iran’s nuclear program and its support for Hizbollah, the militant Islamic group whose capture of two Israeli soldiers last week prompted Israel to launch retaliatory strikes in Lebanon.

American law enforcement officials are concerned the Lebanon-based Hizbollah, which has so far focused on fund-raising and other support activities inside the United States, could turn to violence in solidarity with Iran.

“If the situation escalates, will Hizbollah take the gloves off, so to speak, and attack here in the United States, which they’ve been reluctant to do until now?” said William Kowalski, assistant special agent in charge of the FBI in Detroit.

Detroit is home to one of the largest Muslim communities in the United States.

“Because of the heightened difficulties surrounding U.S.-Iranian relations, the FBI has increased its focus on Hizbollah,” said FBI spokesman Paul Bresson in Washington. “Those investigations relate particularly to the potential presence of Hizbollah members on U.S. soil.”

It’s nice to know the FBI is doing something besides investigating comments on pro-American blogs.

The FBI can start with the fifth column that goes BY the name of CAIR if it wants to do some light lifting. After that they need to stock up on 357 and 9mm and use it generously.

Thank goodness we don't do any "domestic spying" anymore. It wouldn't be fair if the NSA intercepted a phone call from Iran to Detroit and *gasp* listened!

Thank you New York Times! Yippee, just in time too. Your freedom fighters needed your help and you obliged in spades! Kudos too for ensuring that any money transfers required for ramping up "Operation Hezb'Allah Freedom Fight" will make it on time and utterly undetected by the Great Satan George Bush.

Its more Hizb'Allah braggadocio.

They don't have 500 rockets that could hit Tel Aviv, and the fact that Nasrallah is spewing this sort of nonsense is probably in response to rapidly dropping Hizb'Allah morale.

It may be fruitful to draw the cells out. If they are activated, their activity may give them away, confirm suspicions on surveiled persons, etc. Especially if not on their timetable of operations.

If not caught, the death they will cause will come now or later.

Detroit eh ?

Let's see what Detroiter Debbie Schlussel has to say ...

... oh ! Gasp ...

Of the 25,000 American citizens and green-card holders in Lebanon, at least 7,000 are from Dearborn, Michigan, the heart of Islamic America, and especially Shia Islam America. These 7,000 are mostly Shi'ite Muslims who openly and strongly support Hezbollah. Ditto for many of the rest of the 25,000 that are there...

Most of them are Shi'ite Muslims, many of whom hold dual U.S. and Lebanese citizenship. Many are anchor babies born here to Muslims in the U.S. illegally. Some are illegal aliens who became citizens through rubber-stamping Citizenship and Immigration Services (and its INS predecessor) coupled with political pressure by spineless politicians.

The Majority of them are Hezbollah Supporters ...

at the gangway on that ferry give them an oath of citizenship and loyalty to the U.S. test. Willing to "Foreswear all previous alegiances to other nations, kings queens and terrorist mullahs" ? ? ?

Plus give them a copy of a cute Nasrallah picture with lipstick.

26 merav  Tue, Jul 18, 2006 1:40:46pm

avner, #2,

Nasrallah's so-called warning is so full of crap. Even if he did give Tel Aviv residents an hour's warning, the entire city could never evacuate in that amount of time. And if grids really have been drawn so that every bit of the city will get damaged, that's a major escalation beyond the present situation.

Israel has the right to treat Nasrallah as the US treats bin Laden. IOW, no holds barred in finding him, including holding his enablers responsible. They include Iran and Syria. No, we don't want to enter into a war on all of those fronts, but both of those countries should be aware that so-called diplomacy has changed.

27 Allah al Fubar  Tue, Jul 18, 2006 1:41:58pm

islamic Terrorists are here in America... They are vicious, they are deadly, and they are ready to strike. It just kills me to know that all of the information about islam is right in our faces, it clearly is not a 'religion' it is a totalitarian political movement. Why are we molly coddling these murdering thugs? Why do fools like Hooper get any press at all?

If they are stupid enough to strike, I have a feeling that temporary internment for muslims will be needed to protect them, and also to protect the non-muslim population of our Country. A terrible thought, I know... but reality sucks sometimes. Like right now.

If the American evacuees from Lebanon are anything like the Canadian evacuees, the FBI should be worried about Hezbollah terrorists among them.

35 Doss  Tue, Jul 18, 2006 1:51:26pm

Some Hizb'Allah have gotten across our porous border with Mexico.

Until his arrest in December 2002, Boughader smuggled about 200 Lebanese compatriots into the United States, including sympathizers of Hezbollah, designated a terrorist organization by U.S. authorities. One client, Boughader said, worked for a Hezbollah-owned television network, which glorifies suicide bombers and is itself on an American terror watch list.

I agree, as disturbing as these strikes are, the more these scum come out from under their rocks the more they and their ideology become exposed; their slow "creep" to influence is nothing a little sunshine can't cure (well, sunshine and JDAMs...)

38 ShumBaayaMyLord  Tue, Jul 18, 2006 1:54:23pm

I hate to say this, but I would urge any Lizardoids and LGF readers who either:

a) have some responsibility for or input into urban-located Jewish organization office management and security (e.g., your local ADL, B'nai B'rith, UJA/Federation, Jewish Family & Child Services, etc.)

or

b) know those who do

to get some serious consideration underway as to how to ensure security ASAP--without going overboard on cost and paranoid self-importance--against the possibility of a Hizballah-instigated "hit".

Iranian agents and Hizballah achieved precisely such a "hit" in Buenos Aires, some of you might recall, back in 1994, with horrifying results. A local community benevolent organization serving Argentinean Jews, AMIA, was terror-bombed to the tune of something like 80-90 deaths (many more?). In many ways, the community never truly recovered from this atrocity.

(Aside: As if one could add to the outrage, to this day antisemitic connivance with the Iranians/Hizballahis amongst the Buenos Aires police, and infuriating bumbling in the Argentinean federal prosecutorial investigation, have compromised efforts to nail the specific perpetrators.)

39 Egfrow  Tue, Jul 18, 2006 1:56:09pm

I hate it when the MSN uses phrazes like 'FBI is worried about...' It denotes a passive quality and leaves the reader speculating impotence and powerlessness from the FBI.

It should read more like 'The FBI is focusing on...'

You get the point. The MSM is always trying to create panic and degrade agencies.

40 Midwestprof  Tue, Jul 18, 2006 1:58:28pm

Time to round 'em up and ship them off to the internment camps for the duration of WW III (or IV, depending on who's counting). From what I've seen there's good, open spaces for the camps out along U.S. 50 near Eureka, NV. Or my personal preferences: Death Valley, Great Salt Desert, outside Yuma, AZ.

41 SonOfStrom  Tue, Jul 18, 2006 2:00:23pm

#39 Eg

Along the same lines as not reporting enemy body counts, while they are happy to report ours; every time I hear a report from the MSM along the lines of "another two {Marines, US soldiers, etc} died in fighting with 'militants'" I make a mental note to add "while taking down probably 20 or 30 of the scumbags with them." - since you'll never hear that part...it helps with perspective...

I live about 8 miles from Dearborn, Michigan. You have to see it to believe it. Among other things, the city put up a new fence around the playground of the elementary school in the Moslem neighborhood at the behest of the parents. Not your normal chain link - one that is unable to be seen through, 10 feet high, so that passersby won't accidentally see their female children on the playground at recess. A small example of the ridiculous a$$kising they have been able to get away with in that town. I shudder and shake my head every time I have to drive through the south end and see what's going on.

On Sunday I went with the CFO, our oldest son, and my best friend to get our certification to be able to get a CCW liscense (We live in a "shall issue" state.) None of us has a pressing need for it at the moment, but we realize we need to be thinking ahead.

The FBI is a day late and a dollar short.
One of the things that will eventually cause a lot of grief are the mosques that have been built in the states in the past 5 years. They
are designed and laid out like virtual fortresses. And guarded like them too.
They are located in strategic locations as well.
Some of these people have been here for so long they've had the opportunity before 9/11 to
map out grids of utilities and energy sources, as well where are the medical centers and large
educational campuses.

Because Democraps and other libscum believe:

(a) these thugs aren't really a threat,
(b) if they are, it's the fault of Christian conservatives, esp. GW Bush and his supporters, and evil Amerikkkan imperialism, so we should let them hit us -- it's only fair; and
(c) Christian conservatives, esp. GW Bush, his supporters, and evil Amerikkkans are the real terrorists.

And no, I'm not kidding in the slightest. Of course, when we do get hit, these same libscum who crippled our intelligence services (from the Gorelick Wall to the NYT's treasonous articles) will blame, guess who? The people in (c) above for not protecting the US. And again, no, I'm not kidding...

Dear FBI monitors,

Does it not bother you at all that you have to waste precious resources investigating this site, doing some Islamists' bidding while they plot to destroy us? Heck, for you it's just a paycheck I guess. But it would bother me a lot. In fact, I don't think I could do it.

Well perusal of the threads here shows that the ROP has mobilized and is attacking around the globe. Hard to believe that we here in the USA aren't being targeted too. Hope someone in your shop is on top of that.

The first shopping mall, grade school or hospital we lose, and Bush's approval ratings go to 95 percent before the smoke clears from the hole that used to be Mecca. Wonder what that would do to the November ballot totals?
