From the Flickr page of Beth Howe, a supporter of the terror gang Hizballah demonstrates in front of the White House, August 12, 2006. (Hat tip: Gateway Pundit.)

UPDATE at 8/13/06 8:47:29 am:

Here are more photos of these lovely people found on Flickr.

Please note that you won’t find a single hint of the pro-Hizballah, blatantly antisemitic elements of this demonstration in the photographs released by the wire services. It’s shameful.

BabbaZee, I have been afraid of this very thing since the first "official" word in this mess from Condi. She was giving orders for an immediate ceasefire from the get-go, until Bush spoke publicly with a directly opposite message. Looks like she's had enough time to get her way.

Condi Rice is the absolute worst thing Bush & Congress have done in the last decade or more.

And what on earth are you folks going to do about Olmert. He should be tried for treason - spending all that $$ and all those lives, making the Israeli economy take a huge hit for JACK ALL? Not even the prisoners?

Bush Administration Betrays Israel and America
August 11, 2006

Irvine, CA--"By pressuring Israel to accept the U.N.'s cease-fire agreement, the Bush administration is betraying Israel--and America," said Dr. Yaron Brook, executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute.

"In the wake of a plot to kill thousands of westerners, our administration is doing nothing more than having Americans throw out their toothpaste and shampoo. Meanwhile, our leaders are forcing the one country that is actually taking serious action against Islamic totalitarianism to back down. We should be helping Israel to destroy Hezbollah, not urging it to hold back.

"This moral travesty is a betrayal of Bush's so-called war on terror."

These guys always have these baseball bat sized sticks for hanging their flags on. They can then use these to threaten to beat people up with. I saw it at Winnipeg's rally for the USA at the start of the Iraq war. One of these thugs with the flag on the big stick looked around to make sure no cops were nearby, and then shook it at me and threatened to "beat your f---g head in". Can you imagine a 20ish year old threatening to beat in a grandmother's head?

Homegrown Terrorists Puzzle Britain

LONDON (AP) -- One was an athletic teenager who had grown into a devout young man, another a soccer-loving convert to Islam. The youngest was 17, the oldest 35. Many were born in Britain and all were reared here.

As police held 23 young British Muslims accused of plotting devastating airline bombings, both the authorities and their neighbors sought Friday to understand how ordinary communities spawned a terrifying plot.

---
Well, it makes you wonder how peace-loving Islam really is. (scratch, scratch) I don't see other religions recruiting homicide bombers, do you? Hmmm, maybe if the puzzle fanatics of Britain put theie heads together, they can solve this problem.

These rallies get so hijacked by the idiots and the organisers do nothing but encourage them.

a woman approached me from the anti-Israel crowd. She explained to me how she thought that the rally was misguided. When I asked which rally, she said that at least with the pro-Israeli crowd, you knew what they stood for. But with the larger crowd, it was so mixed up, and, according to her, misguided. She told me that she and her party had arrived early and unfurled her banner, which decried both the actions of Israel, and the terrorism of Hezbollah. She said, “My sign says: stop Israeli agggression, stop Hezbollah’s terrorism.” Now, whatever you think of her opinion on “Israeli agression,” it is a more balanced view than the majority of people in that anti-Israeli crowd. She said that when they took out their banner, they were asked by the rally organizers to put it away, as, they were trying to focus on Lebanon, not Hezbollah. She protested, saying that they then should make sure that all of those Hezbollah flags, and Nasrallah portraits were also put away. They said that they would. Obviously they did not. She was very discouraged by the announcement of the dead Israeli soldiers. [The corwd cheered at an announcement of how many Israeli soldiers Hezbollah killed] Why was this encouraging for me? Because she, with a semi-balanced point of view (at least she really was for peace…or seemed to be), recognized Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, and said to me that those people were ignorant and mixed up…and that it saddened her. It gave me a little bit of hope.

"In the future seventy princes from all over the world will unite with the masses to attack Jerusalem and plot against G-d. They will plan to battle Him, then fight over His people and Temple. However, 'He who sits in Heaven laughs, the Lord will mock them'(Psalms 2:4). In His glory, G-d will wipe them from the face of the earth." Zohar Bashallach, 58b

The King of Persia will bring destruction to the entire world, and all the nations will be outraged and confused… and Jews will be outraged and confused, and they will say: where shall we come and go, where shall we come and go? G-d will answer them: My children, do not be afraid. Everything I have done, I have done for you . Why are you afraid. Do not fear, the time of your Redemption has arrived. 51 DocDublU  Sun, Aug 13, 2006 7:00:52am

I'm a bit shocked by the 'US abandoned Israel" comments above. It seems to me that Bush stood firm for week after week of Israeli air attacks, waiting for them to make a sizable ground committment. When that didn't happen, it became apparant that Ohlmert didn't have the stomach for the type of losses that rooting Hez. out of So. Leb. requires...lots of boots on the ground. Finally, Bush's message to Israel was make the committment and secure a buffer zone or we have no choice but to get on board with the seize fire res. Ohlmert finaly woke up and sent in a decent sized force, though not the type of overwhelming attack the US would have prefered. Results are mixed. An opportunity has probably been lost to destroy Hez.

I feel the comments made earlier in the thread ignore Ohlmert's serious lack of committment to a ground offensive. He should have listened to his generals, not his political advisors.

56 Ayatollah Ghilmeini  Sun, Aug 13, 2006 7:04:48am

Not good at math either.

Three things Hitler did not do (but Israel does):

Hitler never dropped leaflets to save civilians
Hitler never sent Jews to German hospitals to recover from their injuries
Hitler never willingly ceded territory

and three things Hezbollah does and that Hitler did:

-Intentional use of ballistic missiles to cause indiscriminate civilian casualties
-Right arm extended salute
-Open calls to annihilate the Jewish people

Bonus Hitler proof of false comparison:

Hitler always used maximum military force to cause the most possible casualties; if Israel had carpet bombed South Lebanon, there would be tens of thousands of casualties to say nothing of how many would be injured had Israel carpet bombed Beirut.

67 The Monster  Sun, Aug 13, 2006 7:16:35am

CAN U TELL THE DIFFERENCE?

No, no, I can't:

Hitler annexed entire countries, sent millions of people off to death camps, and established a totalitarian dictatorship where no dissent was tolerated. Anyone who spoke out against the Reichsführer or the policies of his government was arrested by the Geheime Staatspolizei or Schutzstaffel, and summarily liquidated.

And Bush liberated two countries from totalitarian governments, sent millions of their people to the polls to elect their own governments, establishing democratic governments where the leader of an armed militia, fighting against the troops under Bush's command, gets to be the leader of a political faction in the government. People who speak out against the policies of the Bush regime are interviewed by the National Media Establishment, and go on international protest tours where they regale Eurabians with stories of what a simlpisme cowboy we have running our country, and they have to substitute some other liquid for Jamba Juice.

See? They're exactly the same!

"What are the grounds? It's not against the law to rally for Hizb'Allah. You can't send the asswipes money but you can still rally for them."

***

I am curious how far your vision of the 1st Amendment ranges.

When the suicide-bombing attacks begin here, as Hizb'allah has basically promised they will, they will likely come from previously law-abiding Muslims, just like the ones at these rallies.

Remember that Hizb'allah admitted killing 241 U.S. Marines in their bunks in Beirut in 1983.

What do you propose? Do you think Hizb'allah rallies in the U.S. should still be legal? It sounds like you do. Are you saying that we should allow rallies for groups that have committed mass murder against Americans, such as Hizb'allah and al-Qaeda?

What is your position on whether al-Qaeda rallies should currently be allowed?

I'm not engaging in hyperbole with you - I'd like to hear your opinion.

Should folks be allowed to rally for al-Qaeda?

Can you explain why al-Qaeda rallies should be banned if Hizb'allah rallies are allowed?

Compared to the fifty or so who attended the anti-terrorism rally a few months back, it's quite a turnout. And both were trying to draw from the same communities.

Yes, round them up. Hizb'allah has declared war on the U.S. Write them each a fat ticket for incitement to violence in a public place.

When they don't pay it, jail them and/or deport them, after taking fingerprints and DNA samples.

BabbaZee (#54),

Did I say they did?

No, you said Bush & Condi sold Israel down the river.

I asked you a question:

So did the Bush administration "force" all 24 members of Olmert's cabinet to vote for the cease fire?

One you failed to answer.

The Israeli cabinet voted unanimously for 1701. (With one abstention.)

Why?

If I knew WHY
I would run for PM myself

If 20 Americans scribbled "swastikas = crescents" on card board and chanted death to Islam we'd be front page.

Let's not be crude and scribble it. Let's try something more creative

Just for those who haven't read about it in awhile, here's a bare-bones wikipedia link to the Marine barracks bombing in 1983.

Notice at the bottom who the court finally blamed in 2003

Hmmm ...

No funny little moustache on Bush

Bush's haircut is better

No uniform, hat, or Iron Cross

No mistress

Bush doesn't have an astrologer

Bush doesn't have a quack physician who pumps him full of drugs

Bush's dad was President of the U.S., a WW2 veteran and a rich businessman. Hitler's dad was a drunk, weak, violent nobody and his mom was a control freak

Bush acted up a bit as a young man, but nothing serious. Hitler fought in WW2, was wounded, failed as a painter, started a militant political party, beat up rivals, tried to take over the government in the "Beer Hall Putsch," was arrested, wrote a book about his plans to take over Germany and then the world and kill all the Jews, and almost succeeded in making good on most of his goals after getting out of jail

Others have noted more uncanny similarities

Nope, I can't tell the difference either!

I think that these people have the right to demonstrate (if they are legal citizens that is)if they want to. It can only serve to point out that the estimates of potential terrorists in our country was on the LOW side. Hopefully those who are on the fence about terrorists will join our side and do what ever they can to make others aware of this situation.
At least there are photo records of these ungrateful sons-o-bitches... To be used at a later date.

END THE VILOLENCE, STOP THE PALESTINAIN DEATH CULT FROM INDOCRTRINATING ANY MORE CHILDREN.

Wonder how many of these asswipe Lebonese terrorist supporters did we U.S. taxpayers foot the bill for them to be "rescued" from Lebanon 2-3 weeks ago?

Why isn't D.C. ever plagued with sinkholes? Just think how much better off we'd be as a country if a world-record sinkhole had opened up yesterday in Lafayette Park and sucked up 5000+ RoP'ers!

Yes, the trampling occupation continues.

Zechariah 12:2 says that Jerusalem will be a cup of reeling among the nations.
The word "reeling" has also been translated as: staggering, trembling, drunkeness.
Christ also said that if those days were not cut short, no flesh would survive.
That doesn't sound like conventional warfare, but rather, nuclear.
Prophecy is taking place right before our eyes.

Judiasm >> Nazism.

My little mountain church held a pro-Israel prayer rally today. We are supporting Israel 100% and I suspect that there are hundreds of evangelical churches doing the same so why doesn't the media show that. Supporting Hezbollah is like saying we no longer care that you killed our Marines. It's enough to turn my stomach! I hate to say this but if they tried it in my town, they would be tarred and feathered and rode out on a rail.

99 madmama  Sun, Aug 13, 2006 9:37:50am

You wonder how these rallies can go on in this country and it makes you wonder if anyone really IS watching and taking note...
One consolation though...I was in N.Y.C. a few months back and happened upon a rally of "middle easterners"...I just stood on the opposite corner and watched.
The one thing that I did notice:
A "secret service" type of guy pulled up in his black SUV, rolled the window down and started snapping photos with his "serious" camera.
We were far enough away that it wouldn't have caused any suspicion by the "terrorists/rally-goers" but close enough to zoom in well enough to identify someone if need be later on.
I truly hope these people ARE being watched!

Sinkholes in DC have been rare. The District does have some pretty nifty sewer explosions that shoot manhole covers way up in the air (caused IIRC by rats eating the insulation off underground electrical cables). Mostly over in Georgetown, however, way west of Lafayette Park.

I'm not really into promoting my blog (especially since it is still under construction and is more for my personal projects than regular blogging) but I didn't know where else to post some of the pictures I took of the rally in SF yesterday.

So, if you want something a little happier and cheerier, then I encourage you to check out some counter-protest babes.

And no, I didn't go to the rally to meet girls, but if you know any of the ones I took a picture of and want to set me up... ;)

They signed on because of economics.

I still vehemently disagree with it though, owing to the fact that my GOD is GOD...

You know these but holes came here as students. Enough!

There are two schools of thought about dealing with dictatorships.

One is to open ourselves up to them in the hope that the dictators will see how much better it is to be a free democratic society. To this end we allow students to come here, our business to go there and travel both ways allowed. China, Saudi Arabia and almost all of the world’s killer states enjoy this foolish policy. They play us for dupes. Only Cuba and North Korea are completely excluded from us with a small number of others variously restricted. Yet for the most part we have our guard down.

The lady with the evil < sighn needs to shut the hell up and get back to class!

I got more at my site!

105 tigger2005  Sun, Aug 13, 2006 11:38:29am

It's scary to think how many normal-appearing people ... families even ... are walking all around us, while supporting some of the blackest evil this world has yet to produce. It was at least semi-understandable that the Germans despite their rich culture and history of producing humanistic philosophers supported Hitler ... first, their deeper cultural heritage was a disciplined, order-obeying warrior culture, descending from barbarian tribes that were never fully exposed to Rome's ameliorating influence, second, the humiliation heaped on them by the Versailles Treaty and the suffering they experienced during the Great Depression were quite real. Doesn't excuse anything, but it at least helps one understand a little.

But these people have no excuses. They are embracing dark, monstrous, nightmarish evil with open eyes, casting their lot with it openly and eagerly. These comfortable, spoiled children of the West, in their trendy Western clothes emblazoned with the logos of those who wish to see the West destroyed.

They have chosen evil. They WILL pay the price.

I'm making a Data CD with all of my photos and sending it thru a friend to the FBI. He knows some higher up types.

If the FBI doesn't have the Pro Hez. Ringleaders on a watch list, they will now.

I took over 400 photos, at 3 megapixels, which is good enough to zoom in and get the details on these islamic terrorism supporting rats.

I think that Carl's opinion on who did what to who counts, as he, his wife and his children are directly impacted...

The blame goes directly to Olmert *spit* and to him alone. He is the PM, not duly elected, but the deputy to Sharon, and who took over the office of PM. He is a LLL, and a POS...a unanimous vote with one abstention? That was a decisive vote, not even close. How easy it is to blame President Bush for the decision a sovereign nation makes...and Israel is a sovereign nation that desperately needs a good governemnt.

The problem is that normal people have lives and families with more important things to do that go to somewhere for a political protest. These people have way too much time on their hands.

Too many people have no context to understand the lie called the "occupation of Palestine." Not until 1967 did anyone refer to Palestians and something other than Arabs. All these protests are based on a lie.

I wouldn't shed a tear if this pigswill were shot where they stand. They know how disgusting it is to compare Jews to their hereoes, the german nazis. They are well aware of their hypocrisy. They know that if they had the chance they would kill all Jews. They are deeply evil and the antithesis of civlised society.

So forget the blandishments of the sub-human rights industry and make clear to them that if they demonstrate in a hateful manner, the National Guard will shoot them dead.
