How did the cameraman know exactly when and where to shoot

-- etc.

The "explosion" looks like a "cut-in" -- a technique from the '20s and '30s, when they would film a scene, then film an explosion separately, then edit the two clips together.

More: Why does the cameraman sit there impotently filming the "victims" in the car? Why not try to help?

Why does the "destroyed" ambulance have an intact roof/chassis/etc.? Just as in 2006, where is the explosive damage?

This is only a strategic pause, and you can be sure that Hizbullah is licking its wounds and trying its best to resupply, all while Israel is still looking quite closely at what's crossing the border from Syria into Lebanon.

Some more victimology theater that was exposed as false by the good work of the German scientific establishment. Cheers to all those who were involved in exposing the lie.

I believe that this was a deliberate lie, involving victimology theater, because it appears that the perpetrators went to the trouble of discoloring the skin, in order to, in their mind, fake the effect of a chemical weapon. However, the fakers used black smoke to do the discoloration, which was easily uncovered by the chemistry lab. And the lab also noted that the smoke on the skin could not have been the cause of death.

It seems that the fakers took some bodies, and discolored the skins, in order to claim (falsely) that it was the result of a chemical weapon. Fortunately for the truth, the attempt was crude and was easily proved to be phony.

A couple of commenters seem to express surprise that German television has exposed this.

There are many examples of similar exposes by German media, especially since 9/11.

A major but often overlooked factor regarding WW2 & the Holocaust is that in 1936 Germans were a "modern" society in every sense, much as we see ourselves today. It was only 70 years ago. Hitler's rise to power then, was as shocking then as it would be now.

Germany has a cool society today and it had one then. We expect Nazi-style behaviour from dictatorships. Let's not forget that it can happen anywhere. We are all Germans.

In the CNN clip, notice the objects that are on the side of the road at about :13 as the car vanishes in a puff of smoke. We see most notably a yellow metal tower, looking something like a radio antenna tower, immediately behind the car, looking like it's almost next to the right front fender or a short distance ahead.

Later in the video, as the camera pulls back from the enormous puff of smoke to a wide shot, note the position of the yellow tower, which comes into frame from the right at about :16. We think we see the car blow up right as it passed the yellow tower, yet in the wide shot, the yellow tower is some meters closer to the camera, and not anywhere near the plume of smoke from the explosion.

In fact, another car, headed the opposite way on the road, appears to be parked near the yellow tower, and we see people jump out of that car and run to the left...

One would have imagined that the Germans would have been spouting the same sort of anti-Semitic propaganda that the rest of the media have been dishing. It is a question of proportionality, that is where the Laws of Armed Conflict can meter in.

Of course, under our recognized Laws of Armed Conflict, as they are interpreted from the Hague and Geneva Conventions, people who run around and engage regulars while wearing civies are illegal combatants, and have little to no rights to anything.

That is why the precedent must be maintained that irregulars wearing nike T-shirts are illegal combatants, and therefore free game for the meat grinder, extreme prejudice.

As we saw with the foreshortening of the bombed bridge photos we examined earlier, the footage of the car could have been shot with a zoom lens, thus flattening the yellow tower and the ambulance car and the red car in the foreground apparently all into the same depth of field. However, a zoom lens would not affect their relative positions. The car in the beginning of the video, just before the explosion, must be somewhere between the yellow tower and the red car.

Perhaps there is another yellow tower, farther down the road from the one we see in the wide shot after the explosion?

No, check the sequence of objects that the ambulance car passes prior to the explosion:

:09 crossfade from shot of ambulance approaching guard house with grey and white wall.

:10 ambulance reaches the end of the grey and white wall, passing a barrel in the foreground.

Well, take a look at this. At :39 into the RealVideo version (the director's cut ;) ) from the Yahoo site, what do we see in the background, behind the family that is earlier shown fleeing from the explosion down the road?

The X-barrier (tank trap?), the "big white sign" (which is apparently the roof of some guard shelter), and the yellow tower...

And a bit later, as the man is emoting for the camera, he bends down out of frame, and we pan around to see the end of the gray and white wall, at about 1:05. The end of the gray and white wall that the ambulance car apparently passed only three seconds before the explosion...

Just before we cut away from him, note the red car at the right side of the frame at 1:07.

As we cut to the woman collapsing in grief at 1:07, note that by this time the smoke from the down the road has completely dispelled, and the road is blocked by the x-barrier (tank trap?) and some black and white barrels. the white car shown earlier in the foreground of the explosion sequence has now driven off down the road, as shown at :51.

A bit later, at about 1:15 in the RealVideo version from Yahoo, we finally get a good look at the relative positions of the yellow tower, the big "white sign" (actually a guard shelter) which is sandbagged, the x-barrier (tank trap) and the small white sign.

Thus far, all we can say with certainty is that, despite how it appears at first glance, some time has elapsed between the time we last see the ambulance and the explosion. We do not see the ambulance being hit by the explosion.

The position where we last see the ambulance is considerably closer to the camera than the location of the explosion, and during the time that has been edited out of the sequence, a barricade of barrels and a white car has been positioned across the road between the camera and the smoke from the explosion, and this barricade is not far from the position where the ambulance was when it is last shown before the explosion.

This video purports to show the explosion hitting the ambulance, but it undoubtedly took at least a few minutes for the black and white barrels and the white car to be positioned across the road in the spot that we've just seen the ambulance car drive through.

The CNN narration concerning the explosion says:

"In the confusion and panic of the civilian rush to escape the Israeli onslaught, an ambulance weaves its way through the chaos... his vehicle filled with passengers. In the blink of an eye, it vanishes in a cloud of dense smoke ...targeted by an Israeli helicopter gunship."

As to why the Germans are so big on this...

Historically, Germany was one of the best places in Europe to be a Jew. It was not unified under a single government at the time that Catholic monarchies in Spain and France purged themselves of Protestants, as well as Jews and Muslims.

It was where Martin Luther felt free enough to start the Reformation, and countless other religious experiments took hold. An environment that tolerated differences of faith also encouraged scientific inquiry, and a culture that honors technical competence, to which Charles alludes.

It took a master of manipulation, a propaganda machine the likes of which the world has never seen before or since, to manipulate the people so well. The Osties lived under Communist propaganda for another half century. Let's just say that they're sensitized to it.

By the same token, the survivors of the Holocaust, virtually all of whom can count close relatives among those poisoned by Zyklon, are sensitized to the horrors of chemical weapons. The Hizballah version of the video has the sound of the explosion "sweetened" to be a very loud thunderous explosion, but the "director's cut" from Yahoo, which is apparently the "wild" audio (as the movie term goes) from the location renders the explosion more like a loud pop.

I bet if you were to demux the audio from the Hizballah video and look at the waveform, you could see where the sound effects were spliced in!

The point is not whether i has been proved that Israel did not use chemical weapons. The point is that the claim has been made and the ongoing media war against Israel allows such claims to be accepted as the truth.

The disproving of the accusation is like a two line retraction hidden away among the classified ads on page 20 of the paper who made the libellous statement to begin with.

This technique, followed identically in relation to the ambulances that Israel supposedly attacked, is used again and again. And the MSM trot it out every time, even if it is a total fabrication. Massacres at juenin and qana, chemical weapon attacks, rockets fired at ambulances. All disproved, all widely believed.

Meanwhile, the muslim bacteria get away with firing rockets exclusively at civilian targets, all packed with ball bearings and shrapnel designed to tear innocent bodies apart. The effect reminds me of various Perils of Pauline or other silent shorts, when explosions were crudely spliced in. It fooled 'em in 1920, but it don't fool us no more.

We all know about how the Palestinians lied when they accusied Israel of perpetrating a massacre at Jenin in April 2002.

There was an earlier case of blood libel against Israel in Jenin in 1983; Back then Israel was accused by the Palestinians of using poison against Palestinian schoolgirls. It turned out to be a blatant lie but the damage had been done when and Israel was vilified by the international community before the truth was known.
