Another bomb attack in a Turkish resort today, and a claim of responsibility from the PKK: Three killed in new attack on Turkish resorts.

ANTALYA, Turkey (Reuters) - A bomb blast killed three people and wounded dozens in the coastal city Antalya on Monday in a second day of attacks on Turkish resorts apparently designed to scare off tourists and hit the economy.

Bombs on Sunday in Turkey’s largest city Istanbul and the coastal resort of Marmaris wounded 27 people, and a Kurdish guerrilla group linked to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) said on Monday it carried out those attacks.

“We have warned the public of Turkey and the international public before, Turkey is not a safe country, tourists shouldn’t come,” the Kurdistan Liberation Hawks (TAK) said on its Web site. It was not possible to verify its authenticity.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Monday evening’s attack in Antalya, a Mediterranean tourist hub.

The PKK launched a separatist campaign in 1984 and Ankara blames it for the death of more than 30,000 people. The United States, the EU and Turkey consider it a terrorist organization.

If you wind up with a boring, miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest or some guy on TV telling you how to do your shit, then YOU DESERVE IT. -- From the Real Frank Zappa book.
