The President’s Speech

President Bush, in a major speech delineating many previously unrevealed successes in the war against radical Islam, announced that more than a dozen of the top Al Qaeda plotters currently in custody will be placed on trial for war crimes, including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Abu Zubaidah. He called on Congress to authorize military tribunals right away, and said that these top terrorists are being transferred to Guantanamo Bay in preparation.

Bush also categorically denied that the United States uses torture in interrogations of terror suspects, and called for legislation to guarantee that US troops cannot be sued by terrorists using the Geneva Conventions.

Prediction: the left will go nuts. But it’s an easy prediction, because they always go nuts.
