We have a new feature related to user comments, intended to allow you to easily send me an email about a particular comment to let me know that it contains something interesting—in either a positive way (a noteworthy link or opinion), or a negative way (an offensive remark or a nasty troll). To use this new feature, click the tiny green football next to a commenter’s name, and in their User Profile window, click the link that says, “Notify the Janitorial Engineer about this comment.”

This will open your email program with a message addressed to me, and the URL of the comment already placed in the body of the email. This is my low-tech way of preventing abuse, because in order to let me know about a comment, you’ll have to send it with your own email address.
