Not a word about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or Hugo Chavez on the Daily Kos front page today, but in the nutroots crusade to out George Allen as a Jew, Markos “Screw Them” Moulitsas has a bizarre post in which he accuses Charlton Heston of being a Jew-hater: Daily Kos: Allen’s Latest Insult.
Kos fantasizes that the actor who played Moses in The Ten Commandments swaps “Jewish jokes” with George Allen. Really.

Since I don’t follow manufactured nutroots controversies, I wasn’t aware that some of the people in Kos’s photo are apparently members of a white supremacist group, who posed for a photo at a political convention with Heston and Allen. Although there is a (hidden) point to Kos’s seemingly disconnected rant, it’s still a sleazy tactic that wrongly smears Charlton Heston.
