But the real punchline is that they think Bill Clinton’s policy was a success.

And for the record, my own opinion is that the United States in toto has failed to deal with this threat, for years. It’s neither Clinton’s nor Bush’s fault, except in the sense that it’s all of our faults. This is a failure of national will.
