Lizard Lounge Beta Test
The Lizard Lounge is ready for its first test. You will need to be a registered member of the LGF Lizardoid Front, and you’ll log in with the username and password you use for posting comments.
For this test, I’m using YShout, a nice lightweight Ajax-based chat system, with login code and other modifications by yours truly. By “lightweight,” I mean this isn’t going to replace iChat or AIM, and there will no doubt be some bugs and kinks to be worked out. All the pieces are working very well in testing, but who knows?
Maximum capacity of the conference room is ~20 users at a time; this can be easily changed, depending how it works out. It’s first come, first served. Once the room is full, if someone logs out a space will open up. So if you really want to get in and it’s currently maxed out, keep checking.
For the first test, we’ll try it for about 30 minutes just to give it a workout and see if this machine’s gonna fly. You’ll need a modern browser that knows how to do Ajax, like Safari, Mozilla, Firefox, etc.
Here’s the login page. [Currently closed for construction.]
