The New York Post says that Cat Stevens (aka Yusuf Islam, aka Yusuf) is going to be allowed into the United States to promote his new record, despite his long, well-documented history of radicalism and connections to extremists. We really have stopped fighting, haven’t we?

Mission Of Peace

YUSUF Islam, formerly Cat Stevens, is being allowed back into the United States to promote his first new album in 30 years, “An Other Cup.” The 1970s singer happens to share his Muslim name with someone on the government’s “No-Fly” list and was refused entry to the U.S. in 2004. His name has since been cleared, but Islam is shying away from political controversy. Fox 411’s Roger Friedman got a sneak-listen at the CD (which includes a cover of the Animals’ “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”) and said, “There’s nothing on ‘Cup’ that could offend anyone and plenty of love and peace for everyone.”

Except maybe for Salman Rushdie.

 Frank says:

Some Scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.
