Working with the Islamic group “Ibn Rushd,” the government of Sweden is sponsoring a trip to Egypt “to highlight Islam as a Religion of Peace™,” featuring the peaceful, Jew-hating, jihad-inciting clerics of Al-Azhar University (lgf: search), “peace researchers” (whatever that means), and none other than the peace superstar himself, recently seen stealing the show in Team America, Hans Blix.

SwedAlexTherefore, a Muslim study association in Sweden called “Ibn Rushd” has initiated a pilot programme to highlight Islam as a religion of peace. The week in Egypt marks the final phase of the fifteen educators’ training course, during which they will meet experts in Islamic studies as well as peace researchers. Among the speakers are Dr Hans Blix, Dr Evelin G Lindner, as well as professors from al-Azhar University and Alexandria.
The LGF archives have many photos of Al-Azhar University students engaged in peace research. I certainly hope Drs. Blix and Lindner and their young proteges get to relate with these peaceful young academics on a personal level.
