AP Forgets to Mention They’re Quoting Terrorists

Step right up for yet another almost unbelievable example of Associated (with Terrorists) Press propaganda.

In an article on the President’s State of the Union speech, AP writer Melissa Eddy tosses off this final paragraph. (Hat tip: Paul.)

The comments also hit a nerve in Lebanon, where lawmaker Nawar Saheli told AP Television News that Bush should listen to the Lebanese people. “They do not want the U.S. government to interfere in the Lebanese internal affairs,” he said.

Ms Eddy forgets to mention that the person she quotes as speaking for “the Lebanese people,” Nawar Saheli, is a top political director for the terrorist group Hizballah. And since Hizballah has resigned from the Lebanon government, it’s questionable whether he’s even a legitimate “lawmaker” any more.

But the Associated Press apparently has him on speed dial.

Outrageous. Shameful. Pick your own adjective.

 Frank says:

The essence of Christianity is told us in the Garden of Eden history. The fruit that was forbidden was on the tree of knowledge. The subtext is, All the suffering you have is because you wanted to find out what was going on. You could be in the Garden of Eden if you had just kept your mouth shut and hadn't asked any questions. -- Playboy Interview, April 1993
