Here’s video from Salt Lake City’s KSL TV, showing an interview with the father of Sulejman Talovic, in which he voices his suspicion that his son was influenced and trained to commit the murders. (Hat tip: Gateway Pundit.)

UPDATE at 2/17/07 11:49:25 am:

LGF reader Killgore Trout points out another interesting piece of information buried at the very end of this article: Trolley Square Shooter’s Family Speaks to the Media.

KSL Newsradio learned today that when Suljemen was a student at Horizonte school he was discovered looking at prohibited websites that contained information about AK-47s. That’s when his parents pulled him out of school.

Debbie Schlussel reports that the police did not seize Talovic’s computer, but it’s questionable whether he even had a computer.

This article suggests that he didn’t: Authorities search for motive in mall shooter’s rampage.

He left nothing behind — no notes, no journals, no computer — that might explain his motives, Burbank told The Associated Press.

UPDATE at 2/17/07 1:02:17 pm:

The latest word from police: Police, DA give further details in Trolley shooting.

For instance, detectives as of Friday had found no evidence that violent video games may have influenced Talovic. In fact, Talovic did not even own a computer or a video-game system, Burbank said.

Investigators also had not “found anything that has religious or political motivation” or shown that Talovic’s ethnicity was a factor, the chief said.

 Frank says:

And all the rest of whom for which to whensoever of partially indeterminate bio-chemical degredation. Seek the path to the sudsy yellow nozzle of their foaming nocturnal parametric digital whole-wheat inter-faith geo-thermal terpsichorean ejectamenta. -- From board tape at Zappa concert, outdoors, at Blossom Music Center, Akron, Ohio, summer 1984. This quote was in the middle of a spoken section of "The Mud Club" in which a dude walks into the club with a blue Mohawk and proceeds to "work the floor, work the wall, work the monitor system. . . ." The band was having monitor feedback problems at the Blossom concert, and there are numerous references to P.A. equipment throughout this ramble. Other than that, the quote is meaningless, I guess. But great imagery!
