Deranged Diggbats Raving About LGF Again

Here’s a good example of how dishonest and just plain evil the modern left has become, in a comment posted at Digg about LGF: Digg - Cheney OK After Islamic Attack, Metafilter Disappointed.

by techytim

For anyone who’s not aware LGF is an anti Semtic site posing as a pro Jewish site it tries to post as many stories as it can about Muslims just so people will get really p*ssed at reading about how bad muslims are and get angry at Jews.

Don’t even try to make sense of that; you’ll just get a headache. The bottom line is that this person is trying to turn Jews against LGF with this weird statement.

There are lots of other comments just as bad over there; they express a desire for Dick Cheney not just to be killed, but to suffer. And they’re completely unable to distinguish between enemies of the US and their own government.

And there’s lots of hatred directed at yours truly as well.

UPDATE at 2/27/07 9:47:27 am:

And in this post, which links to the LGF stalker’s web site, we find a comment that isn’t insane at all: Digg - So you’re Digging Stories from LittleGreenFootballs…Why?

It is interesting that this lgfwatch blogger is more outraged about an American blog exercising free speech then those forces that would seek to limit free speech.

If I were LGF’s owner, I would seriously be concerned the risks to my personal safety posed by the owner of lgfwatch. Aside from the stalking behaviour, many of the quotes from lgfwatch seem to reveal a personality that is illogical and anti-social. Just my 2 cents.

I am concerned about it. The people who run lgfwatch have been libeling me, lying about me, and smearing me for years, in a very creepy and obsessive way, and Google (who own Blogspot) have refused to do anything about it even though the site clearly violates many clauses of their terms of service.

What they’re doing is not “free speech”—it’s internet stalking.

Again I urge all LGF readers to click here to go to Digg.com, then click the title of the post to get to the stalker’s site (I won’t link to it directly), and if you think it’s appropriate, scroll up to the top of the site (the link at Digg puts you slightly down the page) and use the Blogspot tool at the top of the screen labeled “Flag Blog” to notify Google (who own Blogspot) that it’s an offensive site. This anonymous harassment has gone on long enough, and since Google won’t stop it I’m calling on the lizardoid army to help.

UPDATE at 2/27/07 10:38:12 am:

At Bookworm Room: Black is not white.

When you’re dealing with people in an alternate universe, they’ll often try to convince you that the evidence of your own eyes is wrong and that black is actually white or vice versa.  This is happening on the far Left side of the blogosphere where the new meme, apparently, is that LGF is anti-Semitic.  The reasoning is that, by highlighting Muslim atrocities, LGF is trying to foment hatred against the Jews who are forcing the Muslims to commit these atrocities.  (I’m not kidding.  Check it out here.)

Because we’ve all learned that you need to defend yourself against even the most stupid attacks — and that it’s nice if your friends help out — let me just say, as a Jew who likes being Jewish, that LGF is just about the most rational, pro-Jewish site there is.  Please note the use of the word “rational.”  In other words, LGF’s positive attitude towards Jews is not the mirror image of the irrational anti-Semitism that exists on so many sites.  It’s a manifestation of an intelligent brain that has examined the world stituation and concluded, rightly, that Jews are not the enemies.

An Interplanetary GPS Using Pulsar Signals
Spacecraft could determine their position anywhere in the solar system to within five kilometres using signals from x-ray pulsars, say astronomers. Navigating in space is a tricky business. The usual method relies on Earth-based tracking stations to work out a spacecraft's distance using radio waves, a process that is accurate to within a metre or so. That's fine for the radial distance, but ...

4 Reasons ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ Is Secretly About Drugs
Nice, right? Anyway, here's my thesis: Raiders of the Lost Ark is not an action-adventure movie about an archaeologist who plays by his own rules and saves the day. Instead, the film is an exploration of Marion Ravenwood's crippling drug addiction. An addiction that was born from her unhealthy relationship and continued association with Indiana Jones. Is it true? Who cares. Can I prove ...

there's no such thing as Flickr Pro, because today, with cameras as pervasive as they are, there is no such thing really as professional photographers, when there's everything is professional photographers. WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...
