Rep. Bill Shuster (R, PA-09) introduced legislation last week (H.Res.224) to urge sites like Youtube, Liveleak and Google to remove jihadi propaganda videos from their websites—the kinds of material about which we’ve written many times at LGF, that can only be described as enemy propaganda, directly from the enemies, by way of companies that are owned and operated in the US.

Note that the bill doesn’t seek to regulate content on the Internet; it’s a non-binding resolution that merely requests the owners of these sites to be responsible and actively remove videos from terrorist groups like Al Qaeda’s “Voice of the Caliphate” and others. Jihad Watch has more about Rep. Shuster’s initiative: Congressman introduces legislation to stop Internet jihad.
