My hat’s off to QuickRob for this excellent, impassioned defense of LGF, responding to the ongoing smear attempts at Reason Online: LGF is NOT a Racist Site.

You see, it’s en vogue to just “know” that LGF is a “hate site”, and that Charles Johnson is some sort of evil neocon bigot who wants to burn all the Muslims. That common meme, which is blindly accepted on the Left and by some of the mainstream media, is FALSE. There is no one who can genuinely find a SINGLE instance of Charles saying anything hateful or bigoted in the entire history of his site. Sometimes the comments section in the past would have unacceptable, racist language. As we all know full well, comments made by anonymous commenters cannot be used to cast blame on the site owner unless the owner lets the comments stay up, therefore sort of endorsing the comments. Charles always QUICKLY removes any HATE SPEECH or the like.

And I have, literally, read every single post that Charles Johnson has made at littlegreenfootballs.com since about August of 2001. Every single frikkin’ post.

Not ONE SINGLE INSTANCE OF “HATE SPEECH”, not one call for violence….NOTHING. People like Mona, who claims to have briefly participated in LGF and that “vicious bilge” which it entertains. But she is a LIAR, and her LIES are tasked with destroying the credibility and reputation of a good person. Charles has never taken it upon himself to ruthlessly slander people just because he doesn’t like their politics…but “Mona” is doing JUST THAT. She is happily accusing him of racism even though she has no FACTS to justify her LIES.

Interestingly, the stalker who created the “LGF quiz” that compares LGF commenters (taken wildly out of context) to Nazis has now popped up in the comments at Reason, saying that his site is “not intended as a smear job”—followed by more Nazi comparisons.

As the creator of this quiz, I must disagree with you here. To my knowledge, it has never been “discredited” (how can satire be “discredited”?) and it was certainly not intended as a “smear job.”

Unsurprisingly, given the source (an anonymous obsessed internet stalker who uses a phony name for his smears), this is a shameless, blatant lie, and it’s quite easy to prove so.

When “Mr. Spock” launched his site, he included the following Photoshopped image:

Yes, that’s a picture of my head on Eva Braun’s body. He later removed the image from his site so he could make exactly the kind of dishonest claims he is making at Reason Online.
